Dear Hayley,

Again, sorry about the lack of water, the burst pipe was only fixed by the municipality late the afternoon.

But thank you for your understanding and patients.

We are so delighted that you & your family enjoyed your stay with us as much as we enjoyed your visit.

We hope to see you soon.

Warm Regards
Jayson, Karli & The Cape Dutch Quarters Team

What a great Place to stay! It is a beautiful building and room. The room was clean and tidy. Located centrally with safe parking. Good security as well. Will definitely visit again when in Tulbach. Thanks!

Our initial welcome was not particularly warm. The room was spacious and clean but the bed was far too hard and the pillows were not comfortable to use at all.Wi-fi signal was great. Breakfast was delicious and the communal breakfast table had a cosy country feel to it.

Hello Jacqui. I am sorry that we were not here to welcome you properly that day.

All our new mattresses are made of memory foam which are very popular. We also provide one down and one synthetic pillow per guests, so I am surprised that both were "uncomfortable".

Overall, I am glad that you enjoyed your stay and our famous country breakfast. Marcel's decor is great. Sorry we missed you, please come back! :)

Regards, Jayson

We spent a lovely night in the self catering "Victorian of Church Street" (sleeps 6), which is a beautiful old Victorian House right in the middle of town. We loved its quirkiness and beautiful old antiques and all the treasure the house had to offer (lots of pineapples and over 40 yellow bathtub ducks on display in the bathroom!). It has a garden and pool which would be great to use in Summer but with snow on the mountains it was very chilly. The self catering house is centrally situated within easy walking distance to all Tulbagh has to offer. Parking is on the street right in front of the house. The host was friendly and helpful. It was very cold when we were there and appreciated the heaters and electric blankets. The house is well equipped, good quality linen etc. but just a bit of constructive criticism the kitchen draws could maybe do with a sort-out as they were a bit messy and we couldn't find any glass bowls that we could use in the microwave & the freezer could do with a defrost. But if you are looking for a well priced stay in a beautiful authentic Victorian house with a residential owl in the front garden tree - you'll love the experience.

Thanks Nicola for loving the house as much as we do. The owl is a hoot! Will get some glass bowls soonest. Come back soon in summer to swim! Best, Jayson
