I spent my birthday weekend on this breathtakingly beautiful wine estate. The cottage is well equipped and had everything I needed PLUS a king sized (I had the best sleep in a very long time). My morning coffee was had on the porch, while watching the cows graze and the calves chasing each other in the meadow. It was a bonus not having a TV around! The only disappointment I experienced was the fact that I could not go wine tasting on this award winning farm. It would have been fantastic savoring a bottle of RED in front of the fireplace.. Saronsberg, you will definitely see me again in summer..

The tasting facility is breathtakingly beautiful with equally striking views as a backdrop. An array of art is on display in the tasting room and the art gallery above. The roaring fire place at the centre of the building created a warm and welcoming atmosphere on cold and wet winter’s day.

A large variety of wines are on offer catering for a vast pallet. We were fortunate to have the estate winemaker Dewaldt Heyns share his knowledge of the various wines with us. All the wine ambassadors were friendly and welcoming. Some were undergoing training but made a sterling effort to answer our questions.

This was truly an elegant wine tasting experience which I can highly recommend.

Lovely Cottages, shower was great, beds comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed. Nice touch to have the bottles of water in the fridge. Beautiful view of the mountains. Lovely friendly dogs running around. Fire place was in an odd place, more in the kitchen than the lounge area
Arrived after check in but was all organised. Also despite being closed, we were sold some delicious wine.
Negative- not quiet enough for me. 3 kids in cottage opposite who were noisy. Cottage was a sort of semi detached so not very sound proof so heard the neighbour at 2:30am who came home and proceeded to move furniture around for about an hour. We could hear his microwave and him practising his singing in the afternoon. LOL.

Apparently there are single cottages so then would not have heard the noise as much - we need two rooms and booked rather late so cannt complain.

We loved our weekend stay at Saronsberg. The cottage was at the edge of the vineyard, it was well equipped with attention to detail. The wine tasting was fantastic, the art collection is very special. We also walked and cycled whilst at the farm, all and all a wonderful weekend away.

Had a lovely, quite stay at Saronsberg. The cottages were very nice and clean. Like your "home away from home". The wine tasting is a must, with great views across the farm. Will definitely recommend it to family and friends.
