Our cottage was very well equipped for self catering and we had the best view!
It made for a very relaxed and tranquil stay combined with delicious wine tasting and beautiful art exhibited in their gallery. The place itself is very interesting as the cottages are rather basic albeit comfortable but the wine tasting building is very arty and current and imposing. The sculptures offer great photos and the staff were very helpful and friendly.
Only criticism: we struggled with locking and unlocking the door to our cottage and the shower was either too hot or too cold, the water didn't mix but the view and wine made up for everything :-)

My husband and i were invited to a wedding at a farm nearby, and had only originally booked in for the Saturday night. However on the Thursday before we left we decide to make it a weekend away. Saronsberg staff were so accommodating, even though we had messed them around. we had arrived just after 5 on the Friday, they still managed to sell us a bottle of wine, so that we could watch the sun go down with a lovely bottle of their wine. We arrived at our chalet, and we RELAXED, so much so, that we didn't want to get moving the next day for the wedding. YES we will go back (the sooner the better), YES we will recommend this to our friends.. There is absolutely nothing negative about this destination.. and YES we haven't stopped speaking about it.

We attended a wedding in Tulbagh and spent 2 very enjoyable nights at Saronsberg Vineyard Cottages which suited our needs ideally. Just wish we had had more time to explore the area more fully and enjoy some more of the wine farms.

If only we'd known when we booked that it was self catering only ........ Then we could have prepared and purchased some basic supplies
Admittedly we didn't research the venue, we were attending a function nearby and were told "just book at Saronsberg"

If Saronsberg offered breakfast, this would significantly improve the rating as well as the popularity and desirability of this venue, IMO they have an ideal area in the main building that could easily be used for breakfasts
