Travelers need to be aware that the hotel rating system on Europe is far different that the system used in the US. A 4 or 5 star rating in Europe is probably close to a 2 or 3 star rating here. Also learn the basic greeting of the country you are visiting it will go a long way in making your stay more enjoyable. This was a nice hotel on the outskirts of Barcelona. It was clean and has a wonderful staff. They are friendly, happy, helpful and provide some great information on travel to the city and shopping and events.
Get a small amount of Euros before you go to Europe (even ATM exchange rates are not that great).
This hotel is about a 30 to 35 Euro taxi ride from the airport and about the same from downtown and the beach. The taxis for the most part take credit cards, but keep some Euros for tips.
There is also a tram close to the hotel which will take you to a good shopping Mall along the Diagonal (main street) in Barcelona. From there you can catch the number 59 bus which you can take to Las Rambles (another large shopping area) or to the beach.
There is a supermarket two blocks from this hotel as well as some restaurants. The beds were comfortable and the buffet breakfast was typical for Europe. The rooms were a good size and clean and well serviced. Housekeeping was wonderful.
Buy a set of power adapters before you go since the voltage over there is 220.
The hotel is quiet and there is a medical facility next to it. They provide the basic amenities like the hotels in the US which not all hotels in Europe do.
Would stay here again if not so far from the city

Location: Just outside Barcelona, in the middle of no where (just a petrol station), but don’t let that put you off. €2.20 from the Airport to the hotel getting the L77 bus. We didn’t bother with getting a bus or tram into the centre as it was only €11 to the Nou Camp or €14 to the city centre train station in a taxi.

Rooms: Clean, spacious but a little outdated. Air con worked fine and room service was really good. The menu was the same as the restaurant menu.

Staff: Perfect, very helpful and spoke very good English.

All in all, the hotel was a 3 star, not a 4 Star but we have no problems at all. It was very quiet and very easy to get to and from the city centre. Clearly the hotel is mainly for business and not pleasure but for the price, no complaints.

So many reviews below about distance from the centre or problems with travel to the centre, no problems at all. Very easy to do. It was our first time on a ‘traveller’ type holiday and we dealt with it just fine.

Stayed here as part of a tour. Although it is a little bit in the middle of no where, it isnt far from town either by tram & train or a taxi (which didnt cost much at all). The hotel has a beautiful reataurant which has a great buffet breakfast but also a lovely menu for dinner.
Joseph the barman is such a lovely man who will do whatever he can to make your stay perfect. He is a very hardworker constantly walking from bar to restuarant to make sure everyone is served & is satisfied.

He tried his very best to speak english in order to have a chat with us. Wish we could have spoken Spainsh to make it easier for him. All staff are lovely, however, I believe Joseph is an asset to this hotel. Recommend this hotel!

Hotel is reasonably close to the airport but there is not much else around. The town of Sant Joan Despí is a ten minute walk but it’s very residential.

The hotel is old very dated. That being said, the staff are excellent.

I’d give it a miss. There’s better around I’m sure.

2 night stay as part of a coach tour.
Room seemed clean apart from a massive stain on the carpet.
Like many previous hotels on this trip there was no power outlet near the bedhead so we had to borrow an extension lead so my husband could use his sleep apnoea machine. This ran across the room so I had to be careful not to trip over it in the night.
The lid on the kettle was broken & staff replaced it. I think the kettles are a bad design because the one we had in Novotel Madrid was the same & the lid fell off & scolded my hand, so I was not risking a repeat performance.
Breakfast had a reasonable selection, but the hot items were really cold, bacon, eggs, sausages were left on open plates with nothing under them to keep them warm. Bain-Marie’s & lids would help. If food is not kept at the correct temperature it can be a health hazard.
There is a supermarket within walking distance if you need provisions for your trip. The tram T3 connecting to The Metro is also nearby.
