Very welcoming, lovely waitress Rosemary, excellent home cooked brekkie, good value for money. Appears to be a lovely local hangout for the golden oldies from the old age home down the road, very special. Even the cat is known by its name :)) Will definetly return.

Well presented generous portions at reasonable prices served in pleasant surroundings, be it inside the restaurant cum giftshop or outdoors in the small enclosed garden.

It really feels like you are eating at someone's house. Really chilled, laid back dining experience that while not for everyone is certainly very tasty and homely.
The menu is simple and you will find exactly what you expect.
Forgive me, but I get a little lump in my throat when I see something like 2 slices of anchovy toast or Marmite toast on a menu (priced at R12 and R10 respectively).
I get the feeling that when done with my meal I should take my plates to the kitchen and wash up!
Not the sexiest venue in the world - but some really cool old bric a brac to buy if you are interested. If you were every wondering where you could find a lace doily - I think they start at about R25!
You can't go wrong with anything that has the word lamb on the menu...but always ask what they recommend...chances are they are eating it in the room next door!

Popped in for a coffee. We got to sit on the sofa and it was comfortable and welcoming. It's also a gift shop and has interesting decor.
It's worth visiting for a coffee and checking out the menu which I think we rather missed and will explore next time.

Quaint little coffee shop that serves meals. The place looks like a house inside which has been retrofitted to serve. Couches and tables and a dollhouse in the corner. You get the real impression you are visiting your aunt from up-country.

The staff are friendly, the service is fast and efficient. The prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is comfy.

A great little spot to stop off at before you carry on driving, where you can get that "relax at home" feeling.
