We spent Christmas at Acra mountain retreat with the whole family and it was magnifenct! Waking up to the beautiful mountain Vista cannot be topped, at least until breakfast, prepared with love, by the hosts. Norma and Holger are warm and attentive and always have an idea for your next adventure. Abseiling down the waterfall is a breathtaking experience, not to be missed. We will definitely be back.

We really enjoyed our stay at this quiet and tranquil little getaway. Lots to see and do in the area and not far from jhb. Service was outstanding and the food served of top quality. Will definitely go back.

A lovely location. Lovely garden. Lovely accommodation situated in a most spectacular position. In town but feels totally out of town. What a view of the mountains. Sunrise and sunset is spectacular. You must stay. The service is good and personal attention is made to your needs.

Acra is a gorgeous, private, intimate lodge in the most stunning location right there amongst the mountains.
Norma and Holger looked after us like royalty. Their food is amazing and waking up to special German coffee in the morning was a real treat.
The view is outstanding. The peace and tranquility is perfect for a relaxing get away.
Can't wait to go again!

We stayed for one night at Acra Retreat. The lodge is very nice with beautiful mountain view. Norma and Holger are lovely hosts and very helpful. The 3-course dinner and the breakfast was fantastic! 10/10 - would crash again! :-)

Friendly owners and nice staff. We stayed on way from airport to Kruger. Had Hilda’s chicken curry for dinner was perfect and a big breakfast was included inc waffles which went down well with the kids.
