Unfortunately too short stay

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 21 Mar 2020
We only stayed one night. The Lodge ist nicely located on a big farm. The landscape is quiet and beautyful. Many animals directly pass the hotel including two girafs. We slept very well and Food was great. Everything was perfect.

There no back up for Wi-Fi when load shedding.
I was not informed at the time of making the booking there is no TV, conditioner or shower.
There was only hand and and face towel in bathroom and no bath towels
No hot water to take a bath in the morning, when mentioning this to the staff it was a just to bad attitude.
staff are friendly, accommodating neat but not worth the price.

A very warm welcome! The property, the gardens and the pool are superb.
Our room was well decorated and very comfortable.
The home-made dinner and breakfast, cooked with organic products, were just amazing!
Thank you Rihanna for my brithday cakes and for a great stay!

We stayed at Twin Thorns Guesthouse as the last stop of our SA tour to get some days of rest and relaxation. We enjoyed our time so much that we decided to stay a night longer than planned.
Riana is a perfect host - not only is she a great cook and spoilt us with her delicious food, she also sensed what we needed and made our stay as pleasurable as possible.
The game drives are very much recommendable. This small game reserve is full of animals and you can see them from very close (giraffes, ostrich, zebras, impalas and more). And as there are none of the Big 5 around, we could enjoy ourselves during the sundowner rests and let the kids play around without worries (5 years and a baby of 10 months). Another plus for us: the field guide was a German, so our daughter could also understand her explanations.
Would definitely recommend this accomodation to anyone with or without kids who likes to enjoy some quietness in a beautiful large garden with a big pool and great food.

We very much felt being welcome and the service was excellent. Riana is a very good host.
Nice garden with a beautiful swimming pool. Food is good, even though not always quite as fresh as it could be. There is an option for self-catering.
Room didn't have air-conditioning, but a fan. The rooms are perfectly clean.
Overall a very very pleasant stay, will definitely go back...

After arriving of a long overseas flight we were welcomed with warm hospitality in a family athmosphere. We enjoyed the home-made food with learning about new recipes. The outdoor adventures going to the lake and having a sunrise coffee in the mountains were wonderful. We enjoyed our stay
