A great cottage really enjoyed our stay with all the facilities you would want. Would recommend for maximum 6 adults and ok for more if you have children. We had 6 adults. Parking a bit tricky but ok once you get used to it. Good location for all local
Windmill Cottage is perfectly situated if you want to visit all of the seven glorious bays of the area. It has everything you need, inside and out, with plenty of off-road parking and a perfect area for sitting or playing games. As a frequent visitor to this area of Cornwall I would definitely stay here again.
Beautifully presented cottage in a fabulous part of Cornwall. Everything we needed with a 3.5 and 1 year old. Large garden was a sun trap. Walking distance from the nearest beach. Good size bedrooms with lovely bedding. 2 bedrooms are in the extension which was great for Grandma and our little boy. They both had their own shower rooms and were quieter, away from the lounge / TV. Would happily book again! Kids (and Grandma) loved it!
Don't bother with Rick Steins chippy-average at best and over priced. However, Paul Ainsworth was fabulous and worth every penny!
Take plenty parking change for the beaches and Padstow.
St Ives is a lovely day out, narrow streets. Park and ride train service available and a nice trip / views to the town. Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan also a good day out.
Great cottage, great location, very clean and all the comforts needed for a perfect break. Hope to return soon.
We stayed at Windmill cottage for 3 nights which could have easily been extended to a week. Situated near Padstow it is a fantastic spot for exploring Cornwall. The cottage is exactly as pictured and was equipped with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay. Nearby is a large Tesco and for those who love to walk a lovely beach is a 15 min walk straight across the road with a great little beach cafe.
The cottage drive is located between two cottages, so make sure you're looking as my GPS had me driving into another persons driveway. The cottage is signed from he road and is about 40m back from the intersecting road.
It is wonderfully peaceful and Gail the owner is very easy to deal with. I have no hesitation in recommending this for anyone looking to explore Cornwall, Windmill cottage really is a must.
