“Great location and accomodation”
Reviewed 11 July 2017 for a stay in June 2017

A great cottage really enjoyed our stay with all the facilities you would want. Would recommend for maximum 6 adults and ok for more if you have children. We had 6 adults. Parking a bit tricky but ok once you get used to it. Good location for all local

Hello Malcolm,
Many thanks for taking the time to write a review. Glad you had a great stay & enjoyed the cottage. The cottage sleeps 8 in 4 double bedrooms, it is a small old Cornish Cobb cottage, great for 2 families with children, which is what we ourselves use it for & I agree probably more comfortable for a party of adults to be 6 so you have a bit more space in the living areas although everything is designed for 8. I'm pleased to say that we have permission now to relocate the driveway which will be happening over the next year. The current driveway can accommodate 3 cars comfortably, 4 at a squeeze. The new driveway will come through the farm & close to the Windmill at the bottom of the garden to avoid the narrow driveway between cottages. We think it will be a great project that will really enhance the cottage. Yes totally agree we are very lucky that the cottage is in such a great location for Padstow with all its restaurants and shops, 7 wonderful beaches, the golf club & miles of beautiful coastline.
I hope you will come back again - you will be most welcome , very best wishes
Gail

“A perfect holiday home for all the family; beautifully decorated, fully kitted kitchen, wonderfully comfortable.”

Windmill Cottage is perfectly situated if you want to visit all of the seven glorious bays of the area. It has everything you need, inside and out, with plenty of off-road parking and a perfect area for sitting or playing games. As a frequent visitor to this area of Cornwall I would definitely stay here again.

Beautifully presented cottage in a fabulous part of Cornwall. Everything we needed with a 3.5 and 1 year old. Large garden was a sun trap. Walking distance from the nearest beach. Good size bedrooms with lovely bedding. 2 bedrooms are in the extension which was great for Grandma and our little boy. They both had their own shower rooms and were quieter, away from the lounge / TV. Would happily book again! Kids (and Grandma) loved it!
Don't bother with Rick Steins chippy-average at best and over priced. However, Paul Ainsworth was fabulous and worth every penny!
Take plenty parking change for the beaches and Padstow.
St Ives is a lovely day out, narrow streets. Park and ride train service available and a nice trip / views to the town. Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan also a good day out.

“Picture Perfect Cottage for exploring Cornwalls Best”
Reviewed 5 June 2017 for a stay in May 2017

We stayed at Windmill cottage for 3 nights which could have easily been extended to a week. Situated near Padstow it is a fantastic spot for exploring Cornwall. The cottage is exactly as pictured and was equipped with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay. Nearby is a large Tesco and for those who love to walk a lovely beach is a 15 min walk straight across the road with a great little beach cafe.

The cottage drive is located between two cottages, so make sure you're looking as my GPS had me driving into another persons driveway. The cottage is signed from he road and is about 40m back from the intersecting road.

It is wonderfully peaceful and Gail the owner is very easy to deal with. I have no hesitation in recommending this for anyone looking to explore Cornwall, Windmill cottage really is a must.
