Uphill to the falls ... wonderful views! Exciting falls ... the sound of so much water moving fantastic!
Back to the village ... care needed on many sections but well worth the effort!

Well worth a visit - good strenuous walk up and an interesting walk through the hermits cave to view the falls then onto the top and round and then down again via a viewing platform - absolutely lovely

Stunning views of the snow covered Ben Lawers, Loch Tay and Kenmore were a bonus to a good mornings walk stopping frequently to take photos. We were rewarded towards the end when a red squirrel joined us. I have been visiting this area for many years and never knew this walk existed. Maybe keeping it a secret is good as it could easily be spoilt with too many visitors. Very selfish of me!

The circular walk up to the falls, over the bridge and down through the woods has been a great walk for us when our family was young. Now that our boys are in their teens, the walk up to the stone circle and on to Tom na Moine is a great extension with some staggering views of Loch Tay and Schiehallion. Well worth the effort and at 5 miles not a difficult challenge.

Take your time up the moderately steep stoney track to the Hermit's Cave and keep looking back at the wonderful views. Have a torch (or phone) handy and creep through the cave to be rewarded with the first glimpse of the falls. Back through the cave and uphill a little further to either the viewing platform across the falls or uphill to the bridge at the top of the gully. Mind your footing on the way down the path on the other side. Not suitable for young children and dogs off the leash. Should take about an hour all in and well worth the trek.
