Yes, a place where each moment has been nothing but pure happiness. The perfect location of this place with a stream gushing just outside your room, the beautiful fleet of peacocks in the evenings, the delectable 'homely' meals and the unique decor of the rooms - this place is noting short of absolute bliss!
To add to our unique experience the super warm hosts, Dimple & Uppi, ensured that we have a fabulous time - be it arranging for the cuisines we like or the bonfires nights or suggesting the most amazing around to visit or simply having endless chats together - they made our stay incredible!
A huge shout out to the awesome staff for spot on service and super well maintained rooms with all the possible amenities!
A must, must, must visit - super highly recommended!
Can't wait for my next visit there!

Dear, dear Amish & Kavi

It was entirely our pleasure and privilege to have met you both.
And we will always be thankful to Chandana for getting you all here.
Amish-
“your on the spur- of -the -moment poetry is fun,
In fact it’s the best under the Sun.
But at times it makes me want to run
And just go eat a big fat bun . “
( we really need to have who-comes-up-with-the-worst-poetry contest soon)
You both are incredibly warm and beautiful people and we are fortunate to have gained fabulous friends .
Looking forward to having you back super soon.
Hugs and love
Dimple & Uppi
By the way- thank you for writing such warm and kind words about us. ❤️

We were looking to get off the beaten track while on a short holiday in Himachal Pradesh. And mann, does she deliver!

Arriving on time for a late lunch, we were immediately struck by the beauty and aesthetics of the property. Their cozy rustic cottages are surrounded by every shade of green that is most soothing-to-the-eye.

Our host Dimple and her team are passionate about what they've created and it shows in every nook and corner of this gorgeous place. The warmth and care they showed us was truly unforgettable. The food is delicious, (don't miss the trout and Siddu)! and don't hesitate to ask Dimple for suggestions of things to do around there, if you're done bumming around in the glorious sun!

The place is perfect for every kind of traveller! And we met them all during our 2 day stay there- college kids, honeymooners, the working-between-meals-type, and us, who finally found a haven far from the maddening city. When we all got together at the end of the day, it was a riot!

We stayed for 2 days but wish we had more time! Already looking forward to our next trip there. It's completely worth it!

Also, Gone Fishing is very pet friendly. In fact, they rule the roost! :)

Dear, dear Rithika
We’re so glad you found us and likewise!
The only bummer was that we couldn’t spend more time with you both (and hear more stories about Bollywood with Rummy adding her ‘solid’ information!)

It was such a fun time and I think it was a very eclectic group of people staying together at the same time who bonded instantly.
We are sure that you’re coming back and going to hold you to that! Thank you gor reviewing us- it means the world to us.

Biiig hug,
Dimple & Uppi

We( Me & Bruno )have returned to Gurgaon only yesterday but have already started missing GFC. It’s not a resort/hotel but a home away from home with all the amenities that you look forward to in a resort. To us Manali is the prettiest amongst all the hills in HP/UK and hence visit this place often. This was my 9th visit to these hills and would remain a memorable one because of GFC. It’s not the location or food or amenities that makes GFC special( though I would give 5 star rating to location, food, staff behaviour, amenities)but the people who have built this place with love & people who maintain this place with a lot of care. Big shout out to Dimple & Uppi for the incredible job that you guys are doing. We now have a home in the hills Will be back soon with family & friends !!

Dear Suvankar
Wish you could’ve printed a paw print in the review from Bruno also!
He’s the most special and amazing canine guest we’ve had in recent times and we loved the way you both spent your time in travelling and hanging out together when you were here.
Honestly, it was a pleasure and privilege to meet you both and now we look forward to having Antara visit us also.
Bruno and you have been the most easy going guests we’ve had besides being the most avid travellers, we dint even get to know how the 8 days you stayed passed .
From our paws to yours, see you back soon .
Big hug from us and woofs from the gang of GFC

This was my second holiday at Gone Fishing Cottages & like the last time, by far the most warm and comfortable stay I've had anywhere.

Gone Fishing Cottages is perfect for introverts and extroverts, for hikers and loungers, for the quaint and quirky, for people who love to party and for people who love corners for some quiet time.

The hosts are absolutely amazing, and the biggest plus is that this place is dog friendly! Staff on point - so warm and courteous. Cottages are very well equipped - with gysers, electric blanket warmers (for those real icy cold nights), microwaves, kettles, crockery, cutlery, Dish TVs, books, room supplies, fans (for the weird ones), bonfire evenings & food to die for!!!

Each cottage has its own vibe to it. My favourite - the rose cottage! You also have access to a lovely stream right across the property - perfect to dip your feet, on a sunny afternoon (with the poison of your choice - big plus) and beautiful calming sounds by night.

Big recommend to all the travelers out there - a must must visit!

Dear,dear Smriti
It was absolutely wonderful to have you back and to have Dhruv with us - and we loved the fact that you treat gfc exactly like home - that’s what we aspire to provide to all travellers that come to us.

We loved the way you spent all your time lazing at the pool and soaking in the views rather than just rushing from one place to another. Our idea of a holiday exactly.

You added much cheer and warmth to the cottages- the doggies and us missed you majorly when you left.
We know that foreign shores are calling you but we hope that you’re back yet again here soon.
Thank you for your gifts ( will always be treasured) and especially for the vegan cheese you carried all the way from Bangalore for me !

Love and hugs
Dimple & Uppi

My second trip to Gone Fishing Cottages & if anything, it’s just got better. The quirky decor exudes warmth & comfort. Cosy bed warmers beg you to snuggle whilst the bubbling stream, birds & peacocks call out to you. My four legged friends - Milli, Jackie, Lalu, Dobey & Leah help me make up my mind & venture out into the sun kissed quaint sit out.

A luxurious home away from home with mouth watering food, cheerful bonfires, a cafe to mingle & make friends and the best Hostess ever!!

Dear Nikki
How much we loved having you girls back! And to have met Dhruv was a bonus( he has to come back to teach our chefs South Indian )
It was just like having our boys back( minus the racket and mess they create)
This is your forever home now.
The mutts are missing you lots as we are.
Thank you for taking such lovely pics- I’m using them for our Instagram page.
Lots of love and hugs
Dimple & Uppi
