Larissa castle isn't perhaps in the best condition, but it's still a great place to visit to soak up the views of the surrounding area and the town of Argos below. It can be seen from far away also and is well worth seeing when you're in the area.

It's old stones and we love old stones and the history around them, but... even if only for the view, it's well worth visiting as the vistas from the the fort / castle are superb !
Free to visit, there is what looks like a brand new toilet block in the parking area but this was all locked up when we visited in mid Sep 2017 (possibly not yet completed ?).

Amazing views from this castle. Fascinating to see the different periods of building juxtaposed. We were the only people there and it was free. Only thing is google maps takes you to the monastery below the summít of the hill and then decides the road you are on doesn't exist.

No charge to roam the ruins. Interesting reader information signs. Great view of surrounding plains and sea.

The road to get there is narrow and not the best. The fortress itself has nothing much to show but the view up there is rewarding.
