I read several reviews of this place before visiting Bali and it was one of the many things that we wanted to do on our two week trip. The place looked amazing with views over the cliff, a great place to chill out for the day.

We were staying in Uluwatu for 4 days and arranged to come here on a Tuesday, we didn’t book as we didn’t think it would be that busy. We arrived by bluebird taxi at around 11am with no issues and the friendly reception staff asked whether we wanted to just come in for few hours or spend the day here. We initially said a few hours and they kindly let us in for free. We quickly decided that we actually would spend a whole day here and it would be better getting a daybed so that we can leave our stuff unattended while we enjoy the pool etc. The bed cost 1,200,000 + tax and service so about 1,500,000 in total which was a minimum spend at the bar. There was two of us and for the day we didn’t think that was too bad. More expensive than the rest of Bali but for the location and facilities nothing you wouldn’t expect. You could spend that all on food and drink at the bar so pretty good for a days leisure.

It soon got busier with most the daybeds filling up. We would advise booking in advance if you are planning to come here so that you get a daybed. It soon gets busy on the bridge for taking photos as well so take them early in the day.

We stayed until just after sunset and had a really good day with nice food. The poke bowls and toasties were good value for money. When we left we ordered a bluebird taxi via the app but had read it can be difficult for them to pick you up due to a local taxi mafia intimidating drivers as they arrive and therefore can’t get past the security gates. We therefore decided to walk up past the security gate to wait for our taxi.
When our taxi arrived we quickly got in but the taxi mafia punched on our car immediately threatening the driver by the looks of it as he had his hands raised while the gang who were all wearing bandanas covering their faces shouted at him and took photos of the car. He said he couldn’t pick us up here as they apparently were not allowed. We had heard about this taxi mafia gang and that they wanted 200k-300k to take us to the hotel which in any other taxi was 50k. We obviously didn’t want to get in a taxi with them as they were quite intimidating so we told the taxi driver we would walk for a bit then get picked up further away. We got out and quickly walked away. We walked about five mins and then we met the taxi (bluebird) and got in a went home. Bluebird Uber and grab are not illegal here but this local mafia firm just intimidate them so they are scared to pick people up. We wouldn’t have minded getting a local taxi if they didn’t extort tourists by over 5 times the price. Omnia security appear to be in on it as they don’t seem to care and point you to the mafia taxis. Although outside of the venue omnia as a brand should take more responsibility in ensuring guests enjoy themselves and are safe, even after leaving the venue. Security staff should be allowing taxis to enter the venue and pick up directly outside where they drop you off.

Would recommend omnia as a day out for anyone but would advise trying to arrange a taxi home before you go to try and avoid what happened to us.

If you’re thinking which place to choose to spend time you can come to OMNIA and enjoy your food and drinks full day long. We didn’t book, but we were lucky to get bed for abt USD 90 (for both of us) including food and drinks. Or you have another choice to pay about USD 15 per person just for entrance to make nice pictures, order some drinks and to swim in a pool with a great view. Food is tasty, we enjoyed our food and drinks full day long. Staff is very friendly, quick and helpful. Music was nice as well. Should say this place isn’t cheap but worth this money. Only one minus, if you don’t have transportation you have to use their OMNIA taxi which is double expensive. I don’t understand why OMNIA doesn’t give a choice to people to use local taxi with meter or OMNIA taxi, I hope OMNIA will reply this question. Few days ago we spent amazing day in The Edge as well, but didn’t have any problems with a taxi.

We came to Omnia after recommendation by Alila Villas Uluwatu's butler -apparently the two establishments are sharing the same owner

Alila car dropped us at Omnia and, unlike some other reviewers shared, we do not have bad experience entering the venue thanks to our early reservation. The entrance fee is quite staggering for a club though, at around USD 20

The venue is architecturally gorgeous in smiliar style with Alila Villas Uluwatu

And then bad situation arised:
1. Entrance fee is just entrance fee with no food/drinks credits
2. We did make reservation that turned out to be just entrance reservation. We can't even sit on the stairs!
3. Cocktails are watery drinks in plastic cup?! Seriously?!!
4. Venue and even the pool are flooded by guests with phone taking selfies?!!!
5. Food are okay except sushi. Sushi is so tasteless
6. Wifi and phone connectivity were poor at that time so we couldn't call Alila for pick up. And instead of assisting us with transfer to Alila which is just 2 minutes car ride, Omnia reception forced us to use local taxi at IDR 150.000?!!!! It's not about money as we pay USD 750 a night in Alila, it's about hospitality!

We were innitially planning to come back for dinner at Sakenohana upstairs but we changed our mind due to above facts, which are insanely in stark contrast to outstanding hospitality shown by Alila team

Unless you just come to snap some selfies, just avoid this place. Go to Sundays instead

This place is a scam. It is secluded at the end of a small road by which is controlled by a taxi cartel. So once your cab drops you off at Omnia, the only way out is by hiring one of the ridiculously overpriced cabs.

Hence if you don't like the prices at Omnia you're kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place. Because you either pay the cover charge and enter or hire the overpriced cab.

Counter staff were condescending when discussing the entrance fees and the waiters and servers were poorly trained as well, they kept speaking to us in Indonesian despite telling them multiple times we were English speaking. Food was overpriced and cover charge was not worth it.

Would recommend potato head, which has friendlier staff, over this scam operation any day. 1/100
