It was really windy and the water obviously very rough the morning of our trip. I asked if it should be canceled. I got a funny look from the attendant who told me it would clear up. Well of course it didn’t. After a very rough ride to the crater the Captain stated that as he expected (because that was the report he got in the morning) we couldn’t go in the water. They took us to another rough spot that pretty much traumatised everyone so we stayed on a few min. Then they finally took us to a place we could have walked to. What a rip off. A later learned that other companies had cancelled that day and rebooked their customers on another day at no charge. Everyone makes mistakes so I contacted this company. No response except an automated message asking for a review. Well this is it. Dont book this trip as you will have to rely on luck for conditions. We booked them because we thought we were supporting something good and just got ripped off.

A nice trip until the end speech by the deck hand. As a rancher I know I don't want to hear someone spewing out their personal belief's on their own eating habits and how bad we who eating MEAT need to change our lives? So sorry to have supported this great foundation after hearing this person bashing my livelihood.

The tour was amazing and educational for my 8 years old daughter. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. It made the experience very enjoyable even though we were all scared and worried before we got into the water. I highly recommend it. Bonus is that over 80% of your fee goes towards a not-for-profit organization to make a better ocean for all of us and the future generation!

I took their whale watching trip out of Lahaina, Maui. It was well run and informative. AND we saw whales, a real plus. (Several mother/calf pairs. Exquisite.) We chose PWF primarily because they are non-profit and participate in research. They delivered. They really care about the marine environment in general and whales in particular. Very pleasant 2+ hours.
