Group of 4 dads on our annual hike were very pleased. The information provided from start to finish was perfect and the host instantly replied to any questions. The cottage was lovely, very clean, neat and had so pretty much everything you need. Was well equipped for kids too with complimentary board games, books, dvds, wii, puzzles, gates etc. Very quiet location with on site parking and nearby local shops and pubs a short walk away. Best of all an amazing location for hiking. Would recommend this place and hoiefully return one day with the kids!
We had a lovely visit to the peak district, the cottage was perfect for us and our two young children. Clean and comfortable with everything you need, we could have quite happily stayed in for 4 days.
We would recommend and stay again.
arriving in pouring rain we were met with a very warm and cosy cottage, survival pack and everything that we needed during our stay.
Crista and her husband Andre plus of course their two woofers were so accommodating and made us feel very welcome. We would look to visit again to see more of the Edale and walks plus of course the local pubs!
Would thoroughly recommend Brown Bread Cottage.
A really cosy, comfortable cottage with the loveliest hosts. Absolutely perfect location for some stunning walks up to Back Tor and Mam Tor. We loved our visit to Edale and can’t recommend brown bread cottage enough!
The cottage was very clean and cosy, the beds pillows etc were exceptionally comfortable,a large TV which was a bonus as usually you get very small screen, short walk into Edale with two good pubs, loads of walks from cottage,Crista was very helpful in advice for walks and there are printed walks and maps from the cottage done by Andre and are very easy to follow, views from windows of Man Tor Hollins cross, watching the changing weather along the ridges,Had a great time and would go back,
