“Excellently equipped and centrally located both for local amenities and for exploring further afield.”
Reviewed 4 August 2018 for a stay in July 2018

The apartment provided everything we could wish for and was in a perfect location in Sao Martinho - a short walk to the lovely horseshoe bay, the numerous restaurants offering a wide variety of food, shops, market and cafes. The good sized balcony provided the option of eating in as well as being the perfect place to soak up the afternoon sun as an alternative to the beach. Sao Martinho provides easy access to the A8 thus making it easy to explore the surrounding area.

“more than cosy”
Reviewed 15 July 2017 for a stay in June 2017

A lovely 1 bedroom apartment with so many amenities The bedroom has so much room and space to place your clothing you could take your whole wardrobe, The bathroom well the shower is one of those that are so powerful its makes you feel so refreshed The living room is so nice and relaxing with real good cds to listen to (thanks) with a tv and pc 2 two seater settees lots of booklets of information of the places nearby. The kitchen is the best even if you didn't want to cook any meals whilst on vacation youll soon change your mind when you see how many utensils it has to offer And finally the open top balcony If your a sun worshipper then from 2pm till around 8pm the sun is full on, Its got 2 sun beds to relax and catch up with your reading and a large patio table to eat your evening meal So you don't even have to leave the apartment to relax and catch the sun
Sao martinho is a small bay so everything is close by Its a wonderful beach with such a calm sea that attracts familys with small children as its so safe for them to paddle in the sea which is just a 5 minute walk to the sea front You have many places to eat and drink but the best place to drink we found was the one on the corner of the road near the apartment just local people all friendly much cheaper than the sea front bars
anyway as you guessed we enjoyed our trip immensely and will certainly return but for longer than our 5 night stay
thanks Sue and the wine went down a treat

“4 night stay”
Reviewed 21 November 2016 for a stay in September 2016

This is a well presented and comfortable apartment based a short walk from the beach.

The apartment is on the 3rd floor (no lift) which was not a problem for us. The booking process was very straightforward and detailed information on getting there etc. was sent in advance. We were met by a bi-lingual agent who showed us around and handed over the keys.

There was a mix-up with meeting times possibly due to my relying on texts rather than making a simple phone call giving our eta, so we had to wait for an hour before getting in.

All of the required utilities are at hand and the 'welcome' bottle of Vino Verdhe waiting in the fridge was a very nice touch. There were also condiments etc. in the cupboards on a use and replace if finished basis and plenty of cooking utilities.

Ideal for eating in, we had a choice of eating in the kitchen, lounge-diner or terrace!. The terrace is also ideal for sun lovers - or for those venturing out along the sandy bay, there is use of a beach parasol and wind break.

Situated on the 3rd floor, it is high enough to have a peaceful nap outside - as long as a local dog in a garden nearby is not disturbed. This wasn't too much of a problem as it usually coincided with the football… I assume that the owner was out at a bar because 10mins after it finished the barking stopped! Apart from that, it is in a very quiet area.

Equipped with the detailed instructions, it was simple to find by car. There is free parking outside and we also had free use of the garage for storing cycles. It is not far from the train station so I assume that it is also convenient for visitors on foot to visit local areas, although I believe it is quicker via coach to Lisbon/Coimbra.

The wi-fi was fast and we experienced no downtime. The PC and printer available is a good addition although we did not make use of it. There are also plenty of books/DVDs/CDs/HiFi and TV so no time to get bored!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay here. We believe it was excellent value and would stay again.

“Feel at home :)”

We stayed for 4 days with our little daughter. All went well and we really feel at home, relaxing on the couch, watching movies, playing, and with all things we needed: a good living room with computer, tv, music, a sunny balcony, a good room and a full equipped kitchen. The person responsible for the house was very nice! The only downsize is the lack of an elevator in the building. It is very close to the beach, only 5 minutes walking.
