The villa is easy to find and in a lovely secluded dip in a little village. The garden is private and quite. The terrace is vine and bougainvillea hung.....heavenly.
The villa has all basic holiday needs covered. The bed is exceptionally comfortable and the wood burning stove was marvellous on the one cold damp night that we had. The kitchen is fairly basic but I expect cooking will be minimal with the amount sea food restaurants in the area. The oven is poor. The décor is unglamorous but charmingly Med-Rural!
I would recommend this villa to all of my friends, the only mild criticisms that I have is that it did smell a little damp on the first nigh, I suspect we were the first visitors of the season so maybe it had not been aired for a while, also it is pretty clean but not spotless!
On the plus side the owner could not have been more friendly and helpful and it is very reasonably priced compared to similar properties in the area. It really feels as though you are staying in a proper genuine old Portuguese cottage.More
