Dear Foodies, I will be as honest as possible. I went to ER MATTATOIO to enjoy a nice meal with my rugby friends and I must admit that the quality of the food is not bad at all. The service and especially the front man on the other hand should pay more attention to the clients and their needs especially when something like this happens: Just before the antipasti one of the waiters accidentally spilled a jar of ketchup on the entire back of my newly bought leather jacket which was very expensive - 450 euros (mea culpa for taking it to the restaurant but I should be free to wear what I please right?)there were no apologies and they did not even offer to take it to the dry cleaners but said that they could not and that it should be me doing it, reassuring that they would be covering the expenses.Ihad to take two days off from work to take it and to get it back to then realize that the jacket would be stained and ruined for ever....At this stage 1 week later I went back to the restaurant and asked the front man who has long straight hair to pay for the cleaners and to give me at least a small amount as a refund or a free meal to repay for the jacket. He refused saying that he did not have the money with him, when I then raised my voice he ordered me to leave while one of the cooks and one of the waiters came out as to protect or intervene in case of a fight.....like what the hell??? I am a client and you treat me like this after all that happened? They should feel shame for treating people like this, they are very rude, have no class, no manners and I wouldn't not go back even if they paid me. I will say it again THE MEAL WAS GOOD BUT THE SERVICE AND ESPECIALLY THE FRONT MAN WERE HORRIFIC. I trust the owner will take better care of his restaurant ESPECIALLY when selecting the staff as this was my worse restaurant experience. You have lost more than a customer.
