Amazing place! Highly recommend! Spotlessly clean. Top quality bedding and towels. Lovely welcome pack of milk, tea, coffee, orange juice, chocolate and homemade flapjack.

“Perfect English holiday cottage”
Reviewed 8 September 2013 for a stay in August 2013

We enjoyed a ten day stay in the stunning property which was clean, spacious and well equipped set in a truly beautiful area. A perfect base to explore the glorious Peak District. The owners were welcoming and helpful and we had one of our best British holidays to date! We would love to return and would definetely recommend to all our family and friends.

“A perfect family getaway”
Reviewed 21 July 2013 for a stay in July 2013

Four generations from 82 to 3 years old (eight in all) were happily accommodated in this very well appointed four bedroom property. The living area is at road level and the bedrooms at a lower level so those not able to climb stairs should avoid. We were there for a long weekend during the July heat wave and those in the attic bedroom found it very hot indeed even using the extractor fan and mobile air conditioner.
That said the welcome we were given and the general cleanliness and standard of the accommodation is faultless. The Wriggly Tin was refurbished in the last couple of years so everything is new and working well. The kitchen is well appointed and big, the bedrooms are big enough and there are plenty of shower options although not really en-suite. We placed a food order to be delivered prior to our arrival and the owners made sure food was placed in the fridge. We were provided 2 BBQ's with coals and used one for a perfect dinner on the day of our arrival. The small garden is perfect although you need negotiate yet another flight of steps (so it's hilly in Derbyshire!)
Location is perfect next to the Monsail Trail and the old Dove Dale railway station. It is ideal for walkers and cyclists as well as general holiday makers. Whether for a few days or a week or so the Wriggly Tin is a great place to stay.

“Perfect Getaway”
Reviewed 20 January 2013 for a stay in January 2013

My partner and I inquired about renting this property for two nights only a few days before we planned to visit the Peak district. The owner, Karen was so helpful and arranged everything for us.

On arrival there was an extremely helpful welcome pack including information on the area, parking permits for visitors, codes for the WIFI, emergency telephone numbers, menus of nearby pubs and takeaways, instructions on what to do on departure - absolutely everything we would ever need! There was also chocolate, flapjacks, tea, coffee, orange juice and even fresh milk in the fridge to welcome us. After a long drive this was just what we needed.

My partner had visited the Wriggly tin as a child when it was being used as a cafe, and it is great to see an old building restored to such a high, modern and luxurious standard. Although there were only two of us, the building easily sleeps nine, with too many bathrooms to count, which is never a problem. As well as plenty hot water, there is a kitchen with any utensil or appliance you would ever need, a chest of board games, a basket full of books/brochures on the local area, under floor heating, a washing machine, ironing board, DVD player, WIFI, travel cot, fold out bed, extra fridge space, log fire...You really don't need to go without anything here!

Although the building is so modern and luxurious, the owners really have done a wonderful job respecting the building's history,
as well as the local area's history (the old miller's dale railway station across the road).

If you are visiting the Peak District, I cannot recommend this place enough. The owners are so welcoming, the property is so comfortable (and immaculately clean!), and the setting is absolutely beautiful.

We were so sad to leave - and can't wait to go back!
