In all fairness I am quit late on this review and it looks like some beautiful improvements have been made since our stay. That being said, it was a bit of a drive from the airport but not bad. No traffic really and quite scenic. The property was awesome and the chalet we had was cute and comfortable. We opened the window in the loft at night and the trade winds kept it cool enough to sleep. The little town of Las Galaras was just what I pictured. Mostly locals, friendly and quiet. 1 grocery store with all we needed to make great meals and our host could get the local fishermen to bring us fresh fish and lobster when ever we wanted it. The beaches were beautiful and empty. We found a beach that we hiked to. It was a short drive to where we parked then about a 15 min hike through the countryside and was the most beautiful cove with fantastic snorkeling. Did I mention 3 different days we had it all to our self. Our host made us reservations at a cliff side restaurant. They picked us up and drove us there and back and was a lovely romantic location. Our host directed us to some beautiful waterfalls as well. These were well worth the drive and hike. You can also horseback to the falls for more adventure. If you are looking for a place away from the crowds, beaches all to yourself and wonderful hosts, This is it. Enjoy....we did.
