Osbourne House was like a home from home for us which was just perfect and what we were looking for. The house has everything you could want from wifi to up-to-date appliances and a beautiful estuary view. Sean was incredibly helpful answering our pre-trip questions very quickly which made a big difference to the planning of our trip. The house is nice and spacious and although on 4 floors, was manageable with the children (there is a stair gate you can put up). The garden is not quite so suitable for young children (at present) but it was nice to have an option of dining outside which we did on several occasions. I particularly liked the generous amount of linen and towels supplied - it's not like i used them all but for some reason i found it very reassuring to go to a house full of clean towels and linen should you want them! The upstairs bedroom means going up a staircase with a low ceiling which can knock you out if you're not careful but at the top there is a bedroom with one double bed and two singles. This was perfect for our children as I could also stay up there when needed and all our strange bed hopping night time needs were catered for. The beach is literally a few minutes walk away - easy for a 20 month old child and 3 year old to walk even though it's slightly uphill on the way back - and they absolutely loved the miles of sand to run around on. We did several day trips to Tenby, Folly Farm, a train trip on the coast and over to the Gower. In the evenings we would go to the beach again at Llansteffan as it was so close and sometimes have fish and chips. The kitchen at the house is well stocked although I took my own children's plastic plates and cutlery which was lucky as at present there is none there. As I cooked a lot at the house, a slightly better sharp knife would have been great. So despite a couple of points like the low ceiling and garden, I still give our stay 5 stars simply because we had an absolutely perfect time in Wales and the place you stay in is very important to the overall enjoyment of your holiday and Osbourne House was just great. We would stay there again for sure.

“Exceptional accommodation! Can't fault it at all!”
Reviewed 27 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Sean the owner was really friendly and showed us how everything worked and where everything was. We were a large group travelling for business so the wifi throughout the house was very helpful. We were given 4 sets of keys which helped as people were coming in and out of the house at different times.

The living room one large sofa and one medium sofa which were very comfy. The living room also had a selection of DVDs and a working TV. We found that there was a good sized kitchen that was fully equipped. Sean even left us a bottle of milk in the fridge for teas and coffee. There was kitchen roll, washing up liquid, coffee and tea and other useful bits in the cupboards. The accommodation came with a dishwasher which we found very handy. The table in the kitchen sits about 4-5 people and there is a lovely view onto the garden.

The dining room is located downstairs away from the kitchen. It has a good sized table that sits 8+ and is open to the snug area/ sofa bed area. There are doors that open into to garden/ patio area. The snug/ sofa bed area 2 good sized sofas 1 of which was a sofa bed. This room is accompanied by an adjoining shower room with a toilet. This was quite a dark room as it is on the lowest level but good space to relax with everyone. The pressure and temperature in the shower was absolutely fantastic! Cannot fault it. Everyone was able to have a shower after work without the hot water running out.

The garden has a nice little patio area that gets some good sun. There is a good sized table outside which is a lovely spot for breakfast/ lunch. The garden area is kept very neat and tidy. Bathroom was very clean and had a lovely big bath. The bedrooms were spacious and light with comfy beds and clean bedding. 2 bedrooms have lovely view over the estuary and the beach.

The beach is really quiet and quite relaxing. Very close walking distance to Llansteffan Castle. Cafes can be found on the beach as well as a small park.

I would highly recommend for families with children or large groups of people looking for a relaxing holiday in a beautiful village by the beach. If we are working in the area again and looking for a holiday let we would definitely go back.

“Lovely family home”
Reviewed 18 May 2016 for a stay in April 2016

This was our first stay in Osbourne House but will not be our last. Sean was very friendly and welcoming especially when we were delayed by Bank Holiday traffic. The house is a real home form home with fantastic views over the estuary and everything you could possibly need for a relaxing holiday in this beautiful part of Wales.

“Quirky! !”
Reviewed 19 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Spread over 4 levels, odd layout with dining room downstairs from kitchen, you wouldn't want to be juggling plates up and down the narrow stairs. Plenty of beds and sleeping options, good wifi, very well equipped kitchen, lovely garden, great power shower downstairs. Quiet village with amazing (free to visit ) castle at end of road. 10 minute drive to next town for shopping.

“Gorgeous house set in a beautiful part of the country”
Reviewed 8 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Osbourne House is stunning! We were met by Sean and Kara who were charming and welcoming. The house is wonderfully spacious, well equipped and full of charm. We all fell in love with it!
The beds are so comfortable, with gorgeous bedding and plenty of towels provided. There are lots of books, games and dvd's. The back garden is a lovely quiet haven.
The house is perfectly situated for exploring the south of Wales. And the local area is gorgeous. Beach, castle and a great pub all within walking distance.
I cannot recommend this property enough. And Sean is the perfect host - nothing is too much trouble. Should we travel to Wales again, I would not hesitate in booking Osbourne House again! Thank you for a wonderful stay.
