“Cosy Cottage”
Reviewed 24 September 2017 for a stay in September 2017

A lovely cosy cottage spotlessly clean. A few great touches that was really appreciated such as candles in the fireplace, chocolates & a bottle of proscecco. Very well equipped which made our stay even better! My only 1 small criticism is that the bed was too hard however that may have just been me. A great stay and I'd recommend it.

So pleased you had a great stay and found the Cottage very well equipped. The bed is a very good quality and medium firm in bed shop speak . We will look at a mattress topper for guests who prefer a softer bed to use.

“Absolute gem of a place to stay”
Reviewed 18 September 2017 for a stay in September 2017

I have hesitated writing a review as I quite want to go back and am worried that further positive feedback will make the place more difficult to book in the future!

This is a superbly presented holiday cottage. Our weekend experience was wonderful. A welcoming and cosy place, not too far from nearby large towns but remote enough to feel like we were out in the country side. Exactly what we wanted for a quiet weekend away. Warm and snug on the inside, silent at night and the delightful sound of horse hooves on the road in the mornings as the sun comes up.

The Quantocks close at hand provided enough hills for cycling, walking and running. Even setting out the door the nearby coast and grassland with wildlife was a lovely setting for fresh air and blowing away the working weeks troubles.

Thank you for sharing this place with others. It really is a lovely spot.

So very pleased you decided not to hesitate and to send a great review, more than anything we are so very pleased you enjoyed your weekend stay at the Cottage and very much hope to welcome you back. We are still exploring the area and adding to the information on walks , climbs and places of interest etc., it is a richly historical area to visit as you say.

“Superb Cottage”

Lime Cottage is excellent value for money. It has everything in it you could possibly need. It was lovely and clean, although no central heating it had sufficient heating facility to make it warm/cosy on a cold day/night. Beds very comfortable and warm. Duvet's etc supplied made it extra cosy. Plenty of wardrobe space in each room. Downstairs shower room ideal. Heated towel rail great. Plenty of good equipment/utensils in the kitchen. Dishwasher a great bonus. Lounge/dinner plenty of space and very comfortable. Outer house with washing machine a great help. Also having a garden with rotary drier was ideal. Even the neighbours were lovely. Very peaceful area. The only thing I would say is that with the stairs being deep and steep, not suitable for a disabled person to sleep upstairs. Having said that, it does have the bed/settee downstairs with downstairs shower room so I wouldn't rule it out altogether. Just not really suitable for a wheelchair user. Anyway thanks to Carol and Glen all in all it was a lovely cottage.

So pleased you had a good holiday and enjoyed the Cottage. Thank you so much for your full and very informative review which will be so helpful to others looking to book a Cottage holiday. I do agree that the Cottage is ideal for people with mobility problems as everything needed is on the ground floor and the bed settee is very comfy..
We would love to welcome you again anytime you need a break

“Fantastic period cottage in a wonderful village and surrounding area”

Carol and Glen's contact have been superb before and during our stay. The owners don't live near the property (we like that privacy) but when we had a query, they resolved it overnight, you could not ask for better people to deal with.

The cottage is beautiful inside and out and has everything a family of four could possibly want. There is a well-stocked local shop about 30 metres away and 2 pubs, one within 30 metres the other direction from the shop and one about 5mins drive (The Babbling Brook and it is fantastic).

You are right by the Quantocks and Exmoor, and only 20mins drive to the M5. We drove to Wales, Dartmoor and the south Dorset coast twice during our stay as it is so easy to get around.

Cannot recommend this property and its owners highly enough.

Tim Clayton.
