“Idyllic”
Reviewed 30 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

This was my second stay at The Roost and it was just as perfect as the first. The photos don't do it justice. With a baby in tow being able to park right outside the front door and have such a generous sized and secluded private garden not overlooked was heaven. It was so peaceful and such a warm welcome it feels like home from home. Being able to sit feeding my baby with the French windows open in total privacy in the morning, in my pjs and with a cup of coffee was bliss. The renovation has been done to an exceptional high standard of craftsmanship - solid oak and underfloor heating. I could happily move in. We will be back again soon.

“Beautiful setting and surroundings”
Reviewed 9 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

We stayed at The Roost for a weekend as a mini-moon and to enjoy the countryside. We could not have been happier with our stay, The Roost is a beautiful converted barn which is well equipped with everything you need. The location is ideal to enjoy country walks and everything you need is within walking distance. Sandie and Geoff could not have been more welcoming. We needed their assistance on our first night and they were there to help instantly! We will definitely be returning.

“Beautiful and peaceful”

The Roost was the perfect place to stay for a relaxing break, there is everything you need for your stay and the surroundings are gorgeous.
There is a beautiful Tea shop next door with the Village store a few steps away, and everyone is so friendly.
Sandie and Jeff are the perfect hosts and we would definitely recommend The Roost to stay when visiting Amberley.

“Gem in the heart of Amberley”

The Roost is a charming place very comfortable with a pretty garden and Sandie and Geoff could not have been more helpful they kindly gave us a lift to the start of a walk one day which was much appreciated. Nicely equiped cottage and the fresh flowers were a lovely touch. It is situated in the heart of Amberley which is a lovely village and well situated for walking the Downs Way. Would certainly stay here again

“Interesting!”
Reviewed 18 September 2016 for a stay in September 2015

Everything was lovely, village beautiful, fabulous location.Only one problem and it was a deal breaker for us. The ceiling in the bedroom is extremely low, you cannot stand up in bedroom, and have to crawl (literally) into the bed from the end!As we were there for our wedding anniversary and a romantic break it was very annoying although we did see the funny side! Because of the shape of bedroom there was no wardrobe, so clothes had to be hung downstairs, the chest of drawers you had to kneel down to not whack your head!
We were only there for a weekend, cannot imagine staying longer, such a pity as could really be lovely. My husband and I are both average height. If you look at the photos you can see.

We recall your visit to The Roost one year ago and thank you for your comments.
We are pleased to hear that overall you enjoyed your stay and your review has been most helpful in flagging up that whilst our own web site clearly highlights that there is a sleeping platform/ mezzanine sleeping area as part of the open plan layout , both by text and photo --- it is not as well documented on the Holiday Lettings/TA website.
We will be altering this as well as ensuring that our email responses to initial enquiries clearly identifies this .
