My wife and I have been doing the Camino de Santiago for the last few weeks and stopped in San Vicente de La Barquera to try some of its famous seafood. We could not have made a better choice in terms of bang for buck with Zarabanda. The staff spoke English just fine and even let us try our best to practice our slowly improving Spanish. The place is well decorated with quotes from different authors which gives it a nice touch as well as an open library if you want to take a book with you to the coast for the day and then drop it off when you're done. We shared a "parillada" which is a mixture of different kinds of seafood for 40 euros. We loved every minute of it and we are thinking about stopping by on our way back!
