Ate lunch here on day trip, parked over at port & walked over bridge. Lovely table outside overlooking bridge, estuary and beach. Restaurant quiet at 13:00 but v busy by 14:00 and tables scarce.lot of set menus on offer on this strip of restaurants but this one suited us best. For €12 each we couldn't have eaten anymore. Starter, main and either dessert/drink or coffee. We paid only the asked price & were not charged for bread, water etc - so was a good deal. Bonito salad to start excellent - especially the tomato/ onion salsa on top, main of oven cooked sea bass on bed of potatoes and onions delicious. More that enough for us at lunch. Waiter had little English but we managed just fine. We had a coffee & a tiramisu dessert which we couldn't finish between us.
Lovely location, not sure I would want to eat inside esp if weather was good. Obviously popular with the locals too. We saw other food being served - mussels, sardines & all looked good.

The tables outside by the port were all taken so we sat out at the front and were served by what seemed to be the manager, who was also running the bar. He was very friendly, and although we feared we might be forgotten he was attentive and helpful.
We ordered gambas, octopus on truffle mash and grilled sardines. All were delicious, particularly the octopus which was perfectly cooked. We were recommended a local white wine, Casona Micaela, which was excellent. Good place!

Parents shared the Mariscada seafood platter which was a seafood cocktail, clams in a wine sauce followed by large seafood platter that had lobster, large prawns, small
Prawns, scallops, and razor clams. Looked Xpensive at 65 euros but it included a bottle of Rioja wine and tiramisu

Pain that they charge extra for bread and water but this seems to be standard in Spain.

Kids had some fried chicken, potatoes with 3 sauces and fried squid. They said it was very nice and they shared some of our platter. Little vegetarian options for our teen veggie though!

Lovely location on the seafront. Service was very good and we didn't even have to wait at peak time.

Best meal we had so far in northern Spain.

the meals are good. But the service is realy worse. He didn't throw the meals on our table but it was almost like this. When we ordered he went away while we were talking to him....
Finally he didn't give us a clean table. there was all over the table those old dishes and glasses from the persons before and he didn't take it away. Also not when we demanded him.

Our most pleasant seafood experience this trip to the north of Spain.
We ordered a few mussels and a fresh lobster. Absolutely delicious, so fresh tasting and fair market price for the season. We definitely recommend this location, which is quite busy.

We also went to La Posada del Mar in Santander, superb but higher price range
