a fantastic host, whom from the onset treated us with warmth, the welcome pack is unbelievable, everything you could ask for in the fridge & kitchen. The whole house ready and fit for a full family to stay. Excellant

“Well worth a visit !”
Reviewed 30 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

We have just returned from spending a week at Brook Cottage and are already planning when we can make a return visit. Not only is Malton a pretty village, the people are friendly and the local pub ( the Wenworth Arms) is less than a five minute walk away and is an asset to the village. The owner of Brook Cottage is Annie who from making the initial booking could not have been more friendly and approachable. When we arrived Annie was there with her husband Fred to welcome us and show us around Brook Cottage. She also left us a comprehensive Welcome pack of groceries . The cottage is newly refurbished, characterful and well equipped. There is a wood burning stove in the sitting room should you need it and logs were provided. Fluffy white towels in the bathroom and very comfy beds in both the twin bedded room and the double room. The kitchen is modern and well equipped should you wish to cook at home. There is lots of info about things to do, Malton is well placed for visits to York or to the coast , plus Annie is a mine of information herself. We had a wonderful holiday and will be back. Highly recommend a visit to brook Cottage.

“Fantastic place!”
Reviewed 14 June 2016 for a stay in May 2016

This was the most well equipped cottage we have ever stayed in by far! It was also lovely and clean and well situated. Annie was a fantastic host. We took our 12 year old son and spaniel with us and they had a brilliant time. It was a pleasant walk (mainly off road) into Malton so our dog got a good run before we went for some lunch (The New Malton Inn is highly recommended and very dog friendly). There are also 2 dog friendly pubs very close to the cottage which were lovely. If we had not already booked and paid for a holiday in Devon later this year we would most certainly have come back here.

“Fab base for Malton food festival”
Reviewed 29 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

We stayed for 2 nights, visiting Malton food festival. The dog friendly cottage is extremely comfortable, clean and quiet with great beds and plenty space. The owners have tried to think of everything - it's a great Cottage . A lovely pack of food and a warm welcome awaited us too. The owners are next door.
It's a mile from Malton. It's an easy 20 min walk, mostly along the river, ideal for the dog as its not next to the road. Malton is a lovely market town, ideally placed for exploring.
