It is remiss of me not to have posted our review sooner:
Dave, Jake & I enjoyed a lovely break at Swallows Cottage during whit week, we found the cottage to be furnished to a high standard and were very much at home and relaxed during our stay.
The cottage is ideally located to visit the surrounding areas of Cheshire and the Peak District, amongst the areas we visited we most enjoyed Chatsworth House and the Blue John Mines. There are several great walks from the cottage if you prefer not to have to drive we recommend walking the "Cloud" the views are spectacular.
A great holiday and very much recommended.

We have stayed in many self catering cottages but Swallows Barn has to be one of the best. The cottage was spotlessly clean upon our arrival, very well equipped & fitted out to a high standard. The lovely crisp white bed linen was also a treat., as were 2 ensuite bathrooms! There is a lovely atmosphere about the cottage very much a home from home we had some great days out, but looked forward to returning to the cosy cottage in the late afternoons

Brenda & Tom made us very welcome nothing is too much trouble for them, if you want to know any local information ask Brenda she is only too happy to help and has some great ideas for local walks & places of interest of which there are many. It was lambing time when we visited ask Tom or Brenda to show you around the farm its very interesting, the lambs were so cute

On her recommendation one evening we walked up to Bosley Cloud, wow the views from there are amazing.

We will most definitely be returning hopefully in the near future

I stayed in Swallows Barn with my three young children for 7 weeks whilst I was waiting to move to a longer term rental property. We had a wonderful stay in the Cottage. The owners, Brenda & Tom, could not have done more to make our stay more enjoyable or comfortable. The cottage contains everything you may need for a long or short-term stay and I have no hesitation in recommending it. The children had their own bathroom and there is a TV in every room. The children also enjoyed the fact that they lived on a farm. Brenda gave us a tour of the farm on our first day at the Cottage, which the children loved. There is also a lovely wood burner, making those winter evenings feel very cosy.
