Priego is a wonderful town to visit, with something for everyone. A great shopping street with plenty of local shops, a gothic style church, a castle, and the old barrio, complete with mirador, or viewpoint. This is built on the ramparts overlooking a fertile valley and the surrounding countryside, and the view is fascinating.
Plenty of narrow streets to discover, an Arab baths to visit, a beautiful park with fountains and interesting buildings everywhere you look.
Young and old alike will love Priego.

This is may be the most famous attraction inside the town. Narrow streets, white walls, quiete clean, colorfull flowers and foremost silent.

It is amust.

To be honest my first impression was one of disappointment as we arrived in the afternoon in Priego De Cordoba. It was dead - hardly a soul to be seen. However as the day wore on, it gently sprang into life and we delighted in our explorations of the old part of town. I RECOMMEND TAKING THE LITTLE TOUR BUS - an hour and a half wending your way along tiny, narrow, flower decked streets with commentary in your own language. This was supplemented in Spanish by interesting comments from our driver who was witty and rightfully proud of his town. He waved to people he knew and we were caught up in the charm, waving also. He stopped and took photos of us. Well beyond the call of duty! Later in the evening we chatted in Spanish as best we could to the locals - What Fun! We rolled into our hotel at 2.30 a.m vowing to return to Priego De Cordoba!

Probably even better in May but in late July was still impressive. Lovely little streets to wander around, clean and proudly kept, lived in and even better...no shops. Different to Cordoba and we actually preferred this area.

Even in November, some of the flowers were in bloom. It's lovely to walk along the narrow streets and admire the blooms against the white walls of the buildings. The buildings are generally very well-kept and have no graffiti, making this a very charming area.
