This was our 5th or 6th visit since coming to Luz, and always at the top of our list with a few other unmissable restaurants, great service, perfectly chilled wine and drinks, and exceptional food as ever, and always a buzzing atmosphere, just perfect and always a great talking point as to whether is the best in Luz!
Our only disappointment was that when it was time to pay, we were told that it was cash only, which is OK if you have enough cash with you! We hadn’t, the waiter politely informed us that there was a cash point a few meters up the road, unfortunately it was not working!!! So we had to make a trip back to the apartment to raid the piggy bank!
So please, the management of Fabrica, tell your staff to inform customers ASAP that it’s cash only! We booked in a few days before our visit, and would have been more than happy to pay by cash if we only knew...
this will not put off coming again, as your place is great

Great food enjoyed in really good company. Its the old adage "You get what you pay for" and at A Fabrica you get really good food for your money. Really enjoyed the Stone Bass, a large succulent portion rested on prawn croquettes with a tangy curry sauce with small dices of mango, absolutely scrumptious!

Others in our party enjoyed the pork medallions and beef steaks, all commenting how good the food was.

Oh! and the desserts, wow! Check our the upside down Cornetto!

Attentive, friendly and helpful serving staff.

Tip!!! To make sure you don't miss out, Ensure you book well in advance because this restaurant is bound to be very popular all year around.

We enjoyed A Fabrica for the quality of the food. Not typical Portuguese fare, nearer fine dining, at very sensible prices. Worth a try!

Booked in advance which was just as well as it was very busy on a Tuesday evening. Contemporary design restaurant with outside seating and a bar area. Not a huge menu but some interesting dishes, we ordered the "couverts" ,for 2 which was plenty for 4 people. The marinated salmon starter dish with an Asian influence was very unusual and the salmon was completely overpowered, however the croquettes got a thumbs up. Mains were sea bass chowder which was very good, and pork tenderloin with apple again very good and beautifully presented. Two desserts, the chocolate orange (beautifully presented) was too rich for me, but I am sure ideal for lovers of chocolate and the other desert was like a type of Eton mess which I was told was delicious. Not a place for a quiet relaxed meal as it was so busy, they forgot about our couverts and had to be chased up, also for drinks. Overall a lovely meal and yes I would go back but hate to think what it would be like in high season!

Unappealing mixture of ingredients which simply did not blend well
I had the lamb dish and my husband had the pork
Both were very disappointing
We did not stay for dessert which offered very limited choice
