We have been to Guia many times, but this was our first time in this apartment, we were greeted by the owner Elsa, a very friendly helpful lady, explained everything and if there was anything else we needed help with just to contact her. We really enjoyed our time there, it is close to the villiage and restaurants, one of our favourite eating places is Guia Futeball clube, lovely food and staf and not expensive. There is also O'Vieras and The Palladium, both of which we visited this trip. Guia is the home of Piri Piri chicken, there are many restaurants. A short drive or if you are a walker, there is Algarve Shopping Centre, apart from clothes shops etc., there is a supermarket and a food hall, where you can eat what ever takes your fancy, as there are many outlets, including McDonalds, Pizza hut, Burger King etc. You can't leave Portugal without trying the Pastal de Nata, a small custard tart, the best we had this time was from the Apolonia supermarket a short drive towards Salgados beach. Hpefully we will return many more times over the years, a lovely area and in many parts unspoilt by to much touristy stuff.
