After spending the last part of our holiday in Kenya at WaterLovers, it is easy to recommend this resort for those of you looking for a quiet place with the best of quality for service, food and accomodation.

The villa was absolutely stunning! Equipped with whatever you need if you like to coock at home for a day or two. Whitch we didn’t, the food served at the restaurant are too good to skip.

Valentina and Ricardo have thought of everything you would like your holiday home to include. Small things like accessories in the bathrooms we women love (body lotion, shampoo, good towels, water to drink), the beach basket for lending in the villa and every suites, the head lines of the News of the day on the spor nob in the morning, good quality beach towels, and good quality sunbeds. And I could go on «forever». These are all things we appreciated.

So, looking for excellent service? Well, you’ve come to the right place at WaterLovers! I brought my two youngsters, aged 16 and 17, and all three of us agreed on the quality we got at WaterLovers. We really hope to be back one day!

Stayed here for almost a week in pure bliss. All staff were wonderful including the owners who checked on us regularly and they do a lot for the environment (bonus for the metal straws).. Everything was brilliant and we loved the small boutique style right on the beach, but there were just a few things that lacked compared to a 5* - rooms were quite dark including bathroom so a little more light would be great! Maybe a little bit of evening entertainment or recommendations of where to go nearby after dinner for entertainment? Food was very fresh and mostly very tasty but one night the lamb chops were almost all fat and not edible, and another time the octopus at lunch was very over cooked which was a shame as this was what I was most excited for; but because the food is cooked pre ordered in the morning there were no alternatives available on the day. No big issues and the lobster I had on the first night was amazing and worth the extra cost. At some points service was really slow and had to wait long times for drinks mainly at the bar.
In the evening the monkeys and birds are very loud so we did not sleep that well but this is not the fault of the hotel. Plenty of naps on the beach during the day which was good.
We had a birthday celebration during our stay which was brilliant where the staff sang and danced with drums and gave a delicious cake.I would 100% recommend and return in the future! Thank you :)

We spent a family vacation week with our 3 daughters in the Waterlovers Beach Resort after one week of safari and were blown off our chair! It is the best hotel we have been to and here is why:
- the service is outstanding. Everyone of the staff is suuuuper friendly and nice, very attentive and spoiling you. We had the luck that the Italian couple, Riccardo and Valentina, who own the place, were there (they spend sometimes vacation there) and they are great. You really feel like being at a friends house. They have put all their heart into designing the hotel in a style we just love. Your eyes are being spoiled every day, as you discover new details regarding the decoration - we were just wowed!
- the hotel has the size of a boutique hotel. So if you are looking for intimacy with few 2 floor villas that is the place to be. It is quiet and discrete, with few tables to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. You get a new menu every day and they buy the food fresh from the markets, which is why you need to chose what you would like to eat in the morning. We loved all the dishes we had with a great mix of different cuisines, ranging from lobster, shrimp, Indian, Kenyan, vegetarian/vegan etc (including divine gnocchi's of course :)...and we never had digestive problems which is not a given in Kenya.Food is always an important part of our vacation and we were so happy with the quality and diversity, that we basically almost always ate there which is something we usually never do...but if it is soooo good and you are being is such a nice surrounding, why change :). We had dinner at the beach with candle lights and the feet in the sand - magical!
- the hotel is located at a spectacular beach. White sand, palm trees, crystal clear emerald green and blue water. 10-15 Min walk to great diving and kite surfing stations.
- in the surrounding you find a couple of very nice restaurants, like ali Barbour's, which is in a cave open towards the sky. Don't expect however any more animations, it is really to relax at the beach.
- Easiest to fly in from Nairobi via Ukunda airport, which is a very small local airport close to the hotel, where only smaller machines can land. We made the mistake to fly to Mombasa, which is 2h drive away.
We cannot thank Riccarod, Valentina and the whole staff enough, it was just wonderful and memorable! Hugs from the Swiss family!

Awesome spot at Diani beach .
Really great hotel and really well managed by Riccardo and Valentina . They both and their team are looking to make you feel at home since the beginning and they really are outstanding.

Everything they do there is with a sustainability purpose so its make the environment of the hotel so special .
Also the cuisine is really tasty and quite diverse taking into consideration the limitation of available type of food at this area .

The size of the hotel , around 20 guest per day , gives them the possibility to have a high focus on the customer and more flexibility . And also make the guest feel in a real oasis out of the world .

An example of it is that one friend of us got in contact with the hotel to give us a surprise as honeymoon gift. Riccardo and Valentina organized everything to make it happen and we really loved the moment when we discovered the surprise.(special dinner and personal gift in the room )

Not to forget special mention to the waiters , and staff in the pool area . They are so kind and helpful with everything . Keep going that way .

Best place honey moon

This was the perfect place to chill out after a full-on game safari. The suite was very comfortable, the bathroom and hanging space great and the view onto the beautiful Diani Beach just stunning. Some lovely little touches - a beach bag provided, very nice toiletries, robes, music on stream and plenty of water. The food was very good, a lovely mixture of Italian, Indian, East African influence AND each dish was cooked to order. Delicious - although the portions were a little too much for me but not for my husband I may say! This boutique hotel has everything in a lovely compact space and yet you don't feel cramped or crowded - there are plenty of comfortable sunbeds and you are well looked after - you only need to look as if you want to change position and there is someone on hand to reposition or move your sunbed! 5 star treatment. The little infinity pool is just right and well managed. Sunscreen and after sun are also provided - a nice touch. The massage in the spa was one of the best I've had!
Valentina and her staff work so hard to make your stay everything you want it to be - no question or request is too much of a problem and everything is done with a SMILE! Could not have asked for better.
