We were heading for Fiscardo on a scooter when we came across Assos. Lovely little village, plenty of places to eat. We stopped and had lunch and sat by the harbour, well worth a visit

I love the little beach here which is more like a cove with a horseshoe shape for safe swimming. Gorgeous little place. Need surf/river shoes to go in and out as its a pebble beach but the swimming is just amazing, the restaurants lovely and its a perfect little place.

I loved this little cove. A delightful spot to lunch right beside the sea. A truly relaxing spot.

The sea was crystal clear but unfortunately the beach is stones and one needs shoes to go into the water.

Being an artist a sketched quite a few viewpoints and could have spent a lot longer there even rent a studio or something.

A place I would like to visit again.

Assos was the perfect outing for us. After being disappointed with Fiskaro, we drove to Assos for lunch. Eat at Platanos and then stroll to the top of the mountain across the beautiful bay to see the fortress ruins and gorgeous views of the sea.

Assos is a small but pretty village, with a limited range of restaurants and bars but all very nice and friendly. Fairly quiet in the evenings so good for families and couples. Small pebbly beach which is actually ok with good swimming. For a short stay of up to a week can't fault the place, but hiring a car is a good idea to visit other parts of the island. Overall highly recommended!
