“Wish we'd stayed longer!”
Reviewed 10 July 2017 for a stay in June 2017

We stayed at the Perch for two nights in June and felt like we'd been away for a week. The Perch is beautifully appointed, and every possible need has been thought of, from the linens, to the condiments, wood for the fireplace, games, music and activity suggestions... we didn't want for anything... except more time to enjoy it all.

“Gorgeous, Secluded, Romantic, Perfect..”
Reviewed 22 June 2017 for a stay in June 2017

My husband and I enjoyed the most perfect 2 nights at the Perch recently for our wedding weekend. Kathleen and Brent are lovely people and the property was stunning. Our favourite feature was the soaker tub, and the peacefulness that surrounds you while listening to the birds on the deck is unbeatable. We look forward to spending our anniversaries at this wonderful spot! Thank you Kathleen and Brent!

“Private secluded, picturesque stunning modern loft in the woods.”
Reviewed 5 April 2017 for a stay in February 2017

The Perch is a beautiful spot in Oyster Bay on the Sunshine Coast of BC. Perfect place to eject from the world and retreat to a loft on the hill. The Perch has everything you need and more. The kitchen is perfect for a gourmet feast or dinning options are a short drive away. Although the view, fire place & tub made it hard to want to leave. We look forward to our next visit!!!

“Relaxing getaway”
Reviewed 23 February 2017 for a stay in February 2017

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights at The Perch and loved every minute of it! There is a feeling of being surrounded by the forest and almost up in the trees. The quiet was our favourite part.
The house itself is gorgeous and the care put into the details are obvious. We had everything we needed. Although we came in the winter I still enjoyed sitting out on the covered porch and enjoying a cup of coffee. I can only imagine how much more time we would spend out there if it had been summer.
We also headed out to Francis Point for a gorgeous walk. It was hard to leave the comfort of the fireplace but well worth it!

“Great place to stay for quiet and relaxing time away”
Reviewed 14 February 2017 for a stay in February 2017

We have stayed at both the cabin, which is down the path and closer to the water and also the Perch which is more at the top of a rock bluff with a beautiful view of the mountains and trees and water below. The Perch is very spacious and modern with full kitchen which is very well supplied with all the utensils and dishes you could need if you want to do your own cooking while there. Large wrap around deck with bbq and table to enjoy outdoor meals. The wood burning fireplace and supplied firewood is great for the cool evenings ( we were there during cold spell - snow etc ) . Normally you can drive right to the Perch steps or ramp which is so handy although when we came, there was an unusual amount of snow so we just needed to walk down the path a short distance. Brent and Kathleen are amazing hosts who were on site in a separate residence if we needed anything but still left us with total privacy. We look foreward to our next visit at the Perch.
