Nine of us had sunday lunch here and thoroughly enjoyed the food and service, in fact roast lamb was top notch! Great service from friendly staff too however, its not the biggest of pubs and we were squeezed in where a couple of the adults were quite uncomfortable. Probably wouldn't rush back on a busy sunday but maybe and midweek lunch....

Quite simply the tastiest roast dinner i've had in a very long time, so yummy i've been back for more since.
I had the pork which was delicious, my friend had a mixed roast and also commented how well cooked every piece of meat was.

Staff as usually very helpful and friendly.

Also quick note.... the puddings are still amazing!

Went to the Eight Bells for mothers day lunch and wasn't disappointed! I had roast turkey and my partner had roast beef . Good sized portions with lots of meat. Most options are available in children's size too. Definitely be visiting again.

A big group of about 15 of us booker lunch here after a long muddy walk on the downs in between Christmas and New Year. It had been a perfect walk on a crisp cold day. The pub ending was perfect. They were great with dogs and boots. The pies were piping hot and the burgers looked lovely and home-made. They served the drinks as quickly as they could and the bill was accurate and efficient. They couldn’t do enough for us, even though they were busy. Really refreshing.

Stopped here for a quick drink whilst walking the South Downs. Very pleasant and polite staff. Beer was excellent. Dog friendly pub. Menu looked very good. Will definitely return.
