“Charming cottage and lovely views and very well equipped, but too small for 6 adults”

The cottage was a wonderfully unique place to stay, and convenient for walks. Everything was individually and ingeniously designed to fit the spaces ( it should feature on the small spaces design programme. ) However with 6 adults it was uncomfortably small and I think the price is a lot given that it feels a bit like camping at times. The upper bedroom had an uncomfortably low ceiling which meant being bent double most of the time., in order to avoid hitting your back or head and has no mirror and little storage. The kitchen area was very tiny and there was very little room to eat at the table which made mealtimes uncomfortable. The dishwasher was great, but not all pans could go into it so washing up was tricky, because the space didn't allow for drainage.. None of the bedrooms were big enough to allow both people out of bed at the sides because the beds, though very comfortable ttook up the entire room.; clambering over a sleeping partner was very difficult for the more elderly members of the party. The shower area was great. The welcome pack and flowers were wonderful. This should be advertised for four adults max and maybe two children as long as they can cope with the very steep stairs. The little lookout garden was wonderful. Overall some great features, but not an easy or comfortable stay, hence only 3 stars.

A great place to relax with sea views across to St micheals mount and ideally located to visit most other locations such as St Ives, Newquay, St Agnes lands end and padstow all 30-45 mins drive away. Beautiful cottage
Tastefully decorated and an ideal pace to get away for a few nights.

“Great location within a relaxed environment”

Lovely cottage which was great for our dog walking holiday. Easy access to the rest of Cornwall and some great food and attractions within walking distance. Not many places have a car parking space either which this property does and this was ideal for us as taking the dogs everywhere making it nice and simple at the end of a long walk.

Can't really fault the property and would happily recommend to others.

“Relaxing cottage and great base for the area”

As a photographer I was looking for somewhere relaxing and peaceful as a base to explore Marazion and the wider area and this place was perfect. It is small, quaint and excellently located on the outskirts of Marazion, around five/ten minutes walk from the centre and beach, with a magnificent view of St Michael's Mount from the living area and garden. It is a small property but great use had been made of the space, with a good-sized living area. It is also well-equipped with all the utilities, appliances, cutlery etc. that I needed, and more. To top it all I found on arrival all the aerial for a fresh cream tea, which was just what I needed after a long journey from Hampshire. The parking provided for one car is easy to find as long as you pay attention to the details sent by the owner when you book.

Marazion itself is a delight, and while I expect it becomes quite crowded in high season was lovely at this time of year, even when the weather was a bit sketchy. I would love to return to Marazion in the future, and I can't see any reason why I wouldn't go back to the Artists Cottage when I do.

“magic cottage”

The setting is spectacular. We spent late afternoons sipping complementary drinks at the end of the little walled garden watching rabbits in the field below, the only thing between us and the Atlantic and St Michael's Mount. Two evenings a week the monastery is floodlit and seems to float like an exotic golden candle. The cottage is charming, exceptionally well-equipped and comfortable. We don't drive so walked or caught buses, but could have happily filled another week, easy to get to Penzance and St Ives and from there, a plethora of places.
