What an ideal position for walking to all amenities in the town! We found the bed very comfortable and there was good attention to detail,( apart from the tv) We can recommend the meals in the restaurant below.

The property is very well located - it is one block from the main square and restaurants of the Clarens, meaning it is an easy walk to everywhere, but also you avoid the noise of the square. Hiking trails start a few blocks down the hill from the property.

We had our own private balcony (Crystal suite) with stunning views over the mountains. Every room (and the public areas) is uniquely and tastefully decorated - you can see the attention to detail and effort put into the property.

Breakfast is ordered off a reduced menu, but all options are extremely tasty and of good portion size. They use local ingredients and produce from shops around, meaning all is of a very high quality.

The owner is on-site at all times and she is very friendly and helpful. She helped us find day hikes nearby and also pointed out where we could get more details.

However, like most other properties in Clarens, parking is on the street and not well lit. We didn't have any problems, but coming from Joburg, this is disconcerting and I'm always worried.

Stayed two nights at 278 on Main.lovely location,just off the main square,but all shops etc were easily accessed .our beautiful large room was tastefully fitted out,and vey clean.The staff ,very courteous and went out of there way to assist us .this made our stay most enjoyable.We ate one night there ,the oxtail dish was superb.
