We were made to feel very welcome. The cottage is incredibly central and we walked everywhere- even to dinner at night. Mystic pizza is a 100m away and their pasta and pizza were great. The cottage has beautiful views of the mountains. Bed was comfy and kitchen had all we needed. Sat on the verandah deck chairs and relaxed in the afternoon sun.
Myself and the mrs, really enjoyed eagles view, what an awesome layout and pleasant room.
Really enjoyed the fact that it was close to the square and with local inside from our hosts we found some decent places to each too.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time staying at Fairview Cottages. George is a great host and gave us great reviews of what to do and see, and where to eat while we were in Clarens. It's an added bonus that the road Fairview is on is paved, so not gravel like the rest of the village.
The bed was comfortable and warm, the electric blanket was most welcome, the showers were hot and the towels fluffy. We didn't light the fire because we weren't in the room for long enough, but it's a lovely option to have.
The position of Fairview Cottages is perfect - we parked our car when we arrived and only got back into it when we left as everything is within walking distance.
If you're planning to stay in Clarens, this is the place to stay!

Owners, Brenda and George, were friendly and helpful throughout. The cottage was clean, neat and had all the amenities needed. The views from the verandah of the cottage were spectacular and it is a great place to relax, unwind and recharge your batteries. The cottage is located within walking distance of all shops and restaurants, without being in the hubbub. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and will certainly be back.
