We stayed for two nights in this beautiful, quirky hotel. It has been restored to a very high standard and the public areas are really outstanding. The first room we stayed in (16) was stunning but unfortunately the floorboards in the room above were very creaky which made for a broken night’s sleep. The staff could not have been more helpful the following morning and changed us to one of the junior suites in the courtyard. Very quirky decor but really nice.
The restaurant Basilii is outstanding. The food and the service were really first class. We ate one lunch and two dinners and found the experience exceptional.
My one complaint about the hotel is the quality of the bikes available for use. The bike I had didn’t have gears and didn’t seem that well maintained. My husband’s had limited gears but also didn’t seem well maintained. A shame given the excellent standard of everything else in the hotel. That’s said, we will definitely make a return trip when we can.More
