“Wonderful holiday!”
Reviewed 29 October 2015 for a stay in May 2015

We wanted quiet, privacy, a beautiful garden, a swimming pool and of course nice weather. We got everything and more! The villa is really nice and large with a beautiful terrace on the most splendid view we could ever wish for. There is easy parking space for 2 cars in the garden with private access to the villa. The swimmingpool is for private use only and lies directly under the terrace with nice deckchairs and a stunning view on the valley and Castiglion Fiorentino. The garden is beautiful and very large. The barbecue is more of an outdoor kitchen with table right next to it. Fantastic. With 3 bathrooms, the villa has more than enough for 8 people and the kitche is well equipped. The hospitality of Giuseppe Baldetti and his darling wife is such that we ended up making desserts for eachother. Giuseppe knows how to make you feel comfortable and at home without ever intruding on you. We loved every moment there!

“Villa Senaia is my home away from home”
Reviewed 24 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We just returned from our 4th year (2 week stays each time) and loved every thing about this wonderful villa, the hosts, Giuseppe and Laura (and Margarite). They do everything in their power to make things fun and comfortable. The surrounding area is stunning and people friendly. One of our favorite stops is the local bar in town called Sandy's for a quick glass of wine and a Panini or piece of pizza. La Sfizeria, also in town and run by "mama" is a great, inexpensive and great place for pastries, pizza, paninis and wine. Everyone is very friendly and happy to serve. We tried a new place in Castiglion Fiorentino called La Bottega - awesome dinners (the pasta is freshly made and delicious).
A short ride from the villa will bring you to Cortona (favorite restaurant - Trattoria Dardano), Montelpulciano or Florence among other, ancient and wonderful walled cities.
If you are planning a trip to the "heart of Tuscany" Villa Senaia is the place to be.

“Wonderful place”
Reviewed 20 September 2015 for a stay in September 2014

We stayed with our friends in the Villa Senaia for 5 nights in September of 2014. It is a beautiful place with an amazing view into the valley around Castiglion Fiorentino. The owners, Giuseppe and Laura are very nice and hospitable people. They made every effort to make us feel welcome. During our stay Giuseppe offered us a private dinner with truffles and that was a real treat. I would definitely come back

“Tuscany in a nutshell!”
Reviewed 6 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

What an incredible place! This villa has absolutely everything you need to make your stay in Tuscany a pleasant one. All rooms are big, clean and with typical furniture and the kitchen well equipped. The surroundings are fantastic, and with stunning sunset views from the villa towards the valley and Castiglion. From here you have easy driving access to towns like Cortona, Arezzo, Perugia, Siena and also to Chianti places like Greve, Panzano, Castellini, Radda and more. We used bikes to explore the nearby surroundings, and you can rent them from the landlord Giuseppe or arrange it with nearby bike shops. We must also mention the friendliness of the landlord Giuseppe, his wife Laura and their lovely little daughter Marguerita. One afternoon they showed us how to bake pizza the original way, using the oven in the garden. This was a great experience in all ways, and we had enough pizza for breakfast the next day :-)

I am always sure we will return to Senaia another year.

“Villa Serene”
Reviewed 10 May 2014 for a stay in June 2013

Villa Senaia was a truly wonderful experience so much so we return every two years with family & friends. The wonderful panoramic vista from the villa and pool is breath taking as it calming. Subtle hues embrace the skyline in the morning while sipping coffee which are then quietly overtaken by a softness at dusk that accompanies a nice wine. Immaculately clean the hosts Giuseppe & wife Laura manage to be generously hospitable, dropping off cakes and biscuits, making pizza without ever seeming to be intruding. In fact it's hard to believe they live next to the villa. Nothing was too hard for them even finding a sharp knife to cut through the porchetta we made in the pizza oven. They were forthcoming in where best to shop for groceries or meat or places of interest that might be off the track. We had best Fiorentina steak from the local butcher. An all round happy experience that keeps friends and family always saying to me, 'this is a find of a life time'. We'll be there next year.
