Quite a mesmerizing place with crystal clear waters. But one needs to climb up some 300+ steps to reach the area. Despite the challenging climb, the place was jampacked with tourist when we reached the area. Just one thing i didn't like was there was a smell of carabao poo in the air near the lake. Was silently wishing no carabao lost its path and found its way to the nearby waters. All in all, the swim was still refreshing and relaxing and i'd like to emphasize that swimming without a life vest is not allowed especially if you're not a good swimmer. Removing the vest will be at your own risk. Different species of little fish were also found in the lake. The view of the lake from above is magnificent.

Be prepared to climb about 320 steps before reaching the lake. The water is clear and not very salty as it is 70% fresh water as explained by our tour guide. Would love to stay much longer but have to visit other islands as well.

While there were improvements in this place, it’s not as beautiful as it was 6 years ago when I first went here.

This is a beautiful place to visit. It is very busy there but worth it. There quite a few stairs to climb up and down but there are no issues taking your time. The swim at the end is a bonus to cool off. You have to wear a life jacket in the water though at all times. Somebody must have done something silly in the past to make that rule apply now. Be safe and enjoy !

This was one of the places I was looking forward to before we went to Coron, and it didn't disappoint.
After a minor hike through the 300-steps up you'd see a magical place that no words can describe..
20-ft deep Lake with clear water where you can go snorkeling (and you can't go into the water without a life vest)
One of my favorite spots in Coron
