The hut was very nice and cosy. The breakfast was great, plus there was a picnic table outside the hut. The animals were very friendly. There was also a nice summer house with binoculars to have a look at the wildlife around. The location was great as it was a bit far away from the big village of broadford to feel nice and remote but not too far, so it's easy to get places.

Me and my partner stayed here in May 2017 whilst travelling around Scotland, it made the perfect break from our van. Janet was a lovely and attentive host and we loved having the donkeys and chickens next to us. The hut is decorated wonderfully with lots of little touches. We particularly enjoyed our breakfasts, espcially having warm croissants and coffee brought to your door! Would deffinitely reccomend this.

We cannot thank Janette enough for her kind hospitality. My wife was apprehensive about staying in a hut, she enjoyed the remoteness and views and we converted her!
The hut was immaculate and very well appointed.
The sun room was great for afternoon teas and taking in the vista. The bathroom inside
the cottage made my wife feel at home.
We relaxed and escaped the rat race and came away wanting more.
For a unique break visit Janette, thank you so much for having us.

Room Tip: Both huts are great

We decided to visit the Skye Sheperd Huts as a way to get out of the city for a break. It really lived up to our expectations! A romantic and quiet spot to relax and enjoy the surrounding scenery! Janet was great to deal with.

Janet was warm and welcoming. The hut was more than equipped, in fact better equipped than most places we have stayed in. Bed was comfortable, woke up to the sound of a cuckoo, amazing countryside views, breakfast was delicious.
