“Ideal”
Reviewed 1 June 2016 for a stay in May 2016

I spent a week at this cottage and found it to be a truly relaxing and beautiful spot. The weather was very kind and in a strange way made me thankful that Scotland has the weather that we do. Otherwise our gorgeous beaches would be spoiled by tourism such as congested buildings. I particularly liked the solid fuel fire, even in May. The cottage itself is very well appointed making it perfect for self catering and enjoying a night in if the weather is inclement. I loved the shower which is particularly powerful and the view from the kitchen window gives views down the Glen, to the occasional deer only metres away and to a waterfall flowing off the hillside. An unbelievable beach is at the bottom of the garden with the occasional surfer. And all of the glorious scenery of Uig is right there.
You have to try it.

Thanks for your lovely review. I can only agree that it's a fabulous place. Never tire of the views from the house, Only downside is that you get so distracted you may forget to put the dinner on.

“Enjoyable Stay”

After a search online for a rental property in Lewis we settled on 38 Cliff. Personally I have always regarded Uig as the most attractive part of Lewis and the location of 38 Cliff certainly lives up to that. The house is in a lovely spot very close to the beach.
The house was comfortable and surprisingly well equipped, with everything you need for your stay. The bright living/dining room was a particularly nice feature of this house. Was able to get and out and about for some great walks despite the weather. Indeed, the only issue we really had on our trip was some quite poor and changeable weather! Overall though we enjoyed our stay here and would recommend 38 Cliff. It's a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of life, and I would be happy to return in the not to distant future.

“I would come back in a heartbeat!!”
Reviewed 6 October 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We, myself, sister and brother, all seniors, found that staying at this cottage, so near to the Atlantic ocean was a great experience. The sound of the waves crashing on the beach while one is drifting off to sleep - memorable. Accommodation took care of all our needs. Local seafood was another highlight. Exploring this part of Lewis was exciting and provides fantastic views of the sea and the countryside! This is a great area for walking, as well. Lovely people we met also.

“Clean and comfortable in a stunning location”
Reviewed 28 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Our family of four spent one week at 38 Cliff and wish we could have spent longer. The photos posted with the listing accurately show a clean cottage with new and comfortable furnishings. We toured every road on the Isle of Lewis and Harris and think the beach and setting at 38 Cliff are the best on the island. The Uig Community Store has everything you need though we did shop at Tesco in Ullapool before the ferry ride over to the Island. Our time spent on the Outer Hebrides was wonderful and made more so due to the comfort of the cottage.
