We have been to Mead many times over the years and it just keeps on improving.

Each time we go there is some sort of new activity, or new Animals to meet and feed, or new play equipment.

I took my two youngest children today as part of a group with 4 other families. There was so much to keep them occupied. I was really glad that there was plenty to do indoors, or in shade, as well as out in the sunshine as it was so hot and sunny.

The staff couldn’t be faulted today, they were all polite, friendly, and good fun. Particularly impressed that the young lady who was running the bunny hop session was reminding people to drink lots of fluids and wear sun hats and sunscreen. The lady running the tractor rides was also brilliant.

I also liked the fact that people were reminded that kids had to wear socks on the soft play. It was all lovely and clean despite it being a busy day with lots of school groups.

The sandpit area with water pump was brilliantly maintained with lovely soft sand and a good variety of buckets and spades etc.

Looking forward to our next trip.

Our first time at mead open farm as we wanted a nice family day out for my birthday. We had a lovely day although do feel a member of staff could have payed more attention. We went to feed the lambs and as the lady passed a full bottle of milk to another person next to us she let go of the bottle before the person could get hold of it and dropped the bottle on my 2 year olds head. Then later on we went to the sheep race and as my daughter couldn't see we sat her on the fence (holding her) and when the race finished the lady rather quickly left through the gate swinging it open ignoring our calls to hold on whilst we pulled our daughter off the fence to prevent the gate catching her legs. I'd also like to ask you to mark out the speed bumps on the entrance and fill in the pot holes as I nearly took my bumper off. I'm gutted as we did enjoy our day out but feel the lack of attention/care would prevent us from coming back.

Hi
Thank you for your review. We’re pleased that you had a lovely family day out for your birthday. We’re however very disappointed to hear that you thought the staff could have been more attentive during our bottle feeding and sheep racing activities. It is very important to us that our staff are welcoming and helpful towards all our visitors and our management team will be looking into this further. Thank you for your feedback regarding our speed bumps and pot holes, we’re always looking to improve our services and it is something we are looking into. We do hope you will give us another try soon. Many thanks, Mead Open Farm

We really enjoyed the day with our 6 yr old and her friend. Loads to do and to keep them entertained. The staff were great too. This was half of the price of the nearest santa’s Grotto/Farm to us, so glad we made the small journey to Mead.

This is our second visit with our 8 year old. She loves it here as do we. We are all animal lovers. So love feeding the animals. There's plenty more to do, like the sky high climbing and go karts and crazy golf, climbing wall. There's also the sheep racing! The only thing was my daughter was upset she couldn't go on the drop slide without long sleeves as we came on a really hot day. Tried to buy a top in the gift shop but there were none. Apart from that staff are all polite and lovely. Great place.

Hi Michele, thank you for your kind comments. We're so happy to hear that you enjoyed feeding our furry friends and taking part in all the fun activities on offer. We're very sorry to hear about the drop slide, we do take health and safety very seriously and we do mention this on our website and in our leaflets. But we are reviewing this and we're looking to introduce an affordable clothing range to sell at the shop. We have many more exciting activities lined up this year and we can't wait to welcome you back soon. Many thanks, Mead Open Farm
