“Mill Cottage, Lewis”
Reviewed 28 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Excellent cottage, large rooms, enormous and well equipped kitchen (no freezer as stated in publicity). Good heating system, loads of hot water, good wifi. Good parking/ turning space at the door.
Excellent position from which to explore Lewis from the north tip to Bernera in the south and Stornoway in the east. Some good restaurants within 40 minutes drive and well stocked supermarkets in Stornoway.
There is enough walking around the coasts, unique bird watching and a splendid range of wildflowers to keep you busy for many weeks as well as numerous interesting archaeological sites to view as you walk.

“Almost home from home”
Reviewed 1 June 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Lovely well equipped cottage, plenty room for everyone, even though not much drawer/hanging space in upstairs room.
Easy location to find and fairly central to tour both islands, bit further to beach than expected but worth the stroll.
Only down side we found was it was a very draughty house, but then its an old one, heating system is excellent.
Owner also organised some essential shopping ready for our late arrival which was much appreciated.
Lovely fresh flowers and biscuits to welcome us too.
Many thanks we will be back

“A comfortable, practical cottage in a good location.”

A comfortable and practical cottage in a good location. Would stay here again. There were just the two of us so we only used the rooms downstairs, but the cottage could easily accommodate an additional four people in the two bedrooms upstairs as there is an en-suite off the bedroom downstairs as well as a family bathroom.
