“Summer is not a good time to visit”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 November 2016

We arrived to find that although they offer alot of activities they dont actually carry all of them out. We did a monster biking trip with an instructor who made it really fun, but its not a great place to visit in the summer. There is skeleton staff and the activities are limited. We were charged almost R100 for an alfredo pasta which was half cooked pasta with a very bland white sauce (Their vegetarian selection is very limited and even more so because they didnt have the stock to make some food / drinks, like milkshake). I am sure the winter is great with the snow (The facilities are definitely geared towards the winter season) but I felt their brochure promised a lot but wasnt able to fulfill the promises.

“Country in the clouds”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 November 2016 via mobile

One of the most beautiful countries in Africa with the friendliest people
Lesotho is high up on top of the Maluthi mountains at 3225m above sea level in the clouds. Its major assests are water with two big dams the Mahole and Katse that supplies South Africa with fresh water there are also 2 major Diamond mines Country is safe although 4x4 vehicles are necessary to access undeveloped areas A must visit for the adventurous at heart

“Spectacular”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 October 2016 via mobile

Resort is remote but the drive there was spectacular. Hope you have a head for heights. There was no snow during my visit, wrong time of year but there are a wide range of other activities for the adventurous. Well worth the trip. They also claim to be the highest restaurant in Africa and I can believe it.

“Something out of the ordinary”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 October 2016

Having never experienced snow before, venturing up to Afri Ski in Leostho from Clarens in South Africa was an exceptionally mind blowing experience! We were fortunate enough to have been staying in Clarens after quite a thick snow had fallen in the Maluti Mountains.

The roads up where in great conditions but when there is snow fall I would highly recommend ascending in a 4x4. People in sedans were unable to get past some ice sections on the road.

Afri Ski was something else! The steaming gluhwein and Ski Bunnies (hot chocolate with Frangelico) were a welcomed tummy warmer after the trek up the pass. The vibe; festive, buzzy and jovial. Sitting on the deck watching all the pros and beginners taking on the slopes was entertaining. Perhaps next time we will be brave enough to attempt bum boarding...

We had a glimpse of what a European ski holiday would be like and I would rather choose an African ski holiday any day!
