When you walk up here you need to take the longer route as the direct route is really bad. You will reach the fort fast and can enjoy the view at the front side. But that is about all to do there. No bar, no restaurant, just a few geocaches.

Amazingly situated overlooking this pretty island of Porquerolles. Splendid views and worth the uphill climb!

....Could be there. It is just the feeling, when you stand on top of the Main Tower with its canons and have a look over the whole isle..... Little Bit magic....

Not much else to add, unfortunately. We could get into it but only to the outdoor area. The view from there is very nice, you can enjoy a partial view on the town and the coast. I wanted to go in though...

In our plan to visit the island, Fort Sainte Agathe was our first way point.
You have to climb to reach the Fort but the view deserves the effort.

The fort itself has not great interest as there is nothing to visit. The fort seems to be privately-owned with no visits at all. And no efforts have been made to make the visit of other parts of the fort interesting. No documentation, nothing.

But the view on the port and on the beach is fantastic.

Go there just for the view, not for the fort visit nor for the military architecture.

Next step for us was Moulin du Bonheur and la Langoustier.

For bikers, the start is rough ( most of them are pushing their bike) but it gets easier afterwards.
