We returned to Cape Town today after a wonderful 2 nights with friends at Cederkloof. We were in a 2 bedroom unit - absolutely perfect as both rooms have their own bathroom and are separated by the lounge/kitchen area. Its doggy friendly, so we took our 2 dogs with us and they enjoyed all the new sights and smells...so nice to have a place where we can take our furry friends and feel so welcome! Loved it, loved it, loved it.
Hilary du Plessis

Room Tip: My opinion would be that all the cottages are in good positions - each one pretty private from its neighbour.

What a gem of a place. It's the perfect place to get away from the busy life in the city and enjoy nature. The cottage is well equipped and wood is provided. There is a fireplace inside for the colder nights. The jazzuci is a real treat. There is a variety of walks to go on. Not to far from Town so you can go for dinner if you dont want to cook or braai. Everything is clean and tidy and well looked afterm

Lovely place away from the city buzz. Own private jacuzzi where you can sit and relax with something cool on a warm summers day. Beautiful view. Everything you need, even an aircon for the hot summer days. Can be recommended, money's worth!

Hike.
Jacuzzi with fresh spring water.
Wine on the stoep
Braai.
Restful sleep in comfortable room
Repeat next day!
If that's what you're looking for, then this is the place for you. Great to chill out, ride your mountain bike etc.

Room Tip: Cottages 1-3 are further from the pool so a bit quieter

I must say a huge thanks to the management and owner at Cederkloof Botanical Retreat for quite literally saving our honeymoon.

Cederkloof Botanical Retreat is such beautiful tranquil location, the views, jacuzzi and accommodation are absolutely amazing and is undoubtedly run by some of the most caring people you will ever meet in the Western Cape.

We had the misfortune of bursting two tyres on our BMW on the way up to Citrusdal and to our horror and huge disappointment BMW would not follow through and source the tyres needed in order for us to continue with our trip and instead offered only to tow us home - which would have meant ending our trip early and most likely in tears.

Anja and Yvette at Cederkloof Botanical Retreat, after hearing of our awful situation, did their best to help us source tyres locally, but none were available in Citrusdal.

They then generously offered to drive us to Cape Town and back to fetch some tyres from Tyger Wheel and Tyre in Durbanville so we could continue on our way - and that’s exactly what happened!!

Absolutely heartwarming and so rare to receive that level of assistance from any Business/Resort/stranger in this day and age.

I can’t say thank you enough for going out of your way so much and helping us to complete our honeymoon - I highly recommend staying at this beautiful Retreat. We will definitely be visiting again soon!
