We felt well taken care of. The athmosphere Was comely and we felt welcome. My wife and I were completly satisfied. The quiet surroundings, the beautiful garden, inviting to take a morning stroll and a good breakfast. The tip, which restaurant to go to, proved to be exzellent.

Breakfast was really good even for my wife that doesn't eat any pork or red meat.
If I had to mention a small issue it would be that the curtains and blinds are too light and allows quite a bit of light through. We are used to 100% blockoput at home but really cannot expect it everywhere we go.
Otherwise, I will definitely visit again.

I will check the curtains out in the room you stayed in as they should be good enough to keep out the light, but as you say its one of those things and people do have very different preferences with regards to the amount of light/darkness they prefer.

Had a fantastic time at Sunbird Lodge. Dave could not do enough for us - booking restaurants and going out of his way to chase delayed baggage.
Breakfasts were excellent and plentiful, lovely pool and peaceful gardens with plenty of bird life.
I highly recommend this lodge and we will definitely return next time we are in Phalaborwa - thankk you Dave and Sam for your wonderful hospitality.

We had a nice stay at Sunbird Lodge with excellent breakfast, nice room and good service. Guesthouse is located in a quite area. We will chose this B&B whenever we will come back to that area. We thank Dave for his hospitality.

Another great stay at Sunbird Lodge, it's our go to for our night before going into Kruger.
Once again regretted it was only one night as we feel so at home here, especially with Dave's hospitality. Cosy rooms with everything you would need and a lovely breakfast.
Hopefully we'll stay longer next time. Would recommend tonanyone as a perfect stop off after a long drive from Jo'burg to stop, and chill beside the pool looking out for birds.
