The accommodation is great. Location is convenient and the grounds are well kept and beautiful. The lodge itself is very clean, the service is impeccable. Fixtures are not modern but because of how well maintained and clean the place is this won't be much of a big deal. Breakfast is good enough. Infact it's so fresh it's a winner. I would totally advise anyone to visit this establishment. The host was super cool and friendly as well. Only wish we could stay longer.More

Dave is very kind. He welcomes you, explains you everything about Phalaborwa and Kruger. He adviced us the Bushvel Terrace restaurant which has good quality and original dishes and is a high class place. Dave also gave us information and maps to visit Graskop and Blyde River Canyon. Sunbird Lodge has wide rooms with very comfortable beds, a desk to sit and work on your laptop with good wifi. Also you will have the opportunity to swim in a large swimming pool in a beautiful garden. Actually a good stay to rest after hours in Park Kruger.

We had a wonderful stay at Sunbird Lodge. We were due to stay somewhere else but they had made an error with our booking. Dave at Sunbird saved the day and we stayed there instead. We were pleased in the end for the error as Sunbird Lodge was by far a much nicer place to stay. Lovely big room and bathroom, wonderful grounds to roam around in, nice size swimming pool and peaceful outdoor seating area with settees. Dave and his wife are wonderful hosts and nothing was too much trouble. We would stay again and would definitely recommend as a great place to stay.

The place is quite big, and Dave allows you to roam free in his massive garden with braai facilities. I have stayed there twice this year and found it worth the trip both times. The last time Dave explained all the routs into the Kruger natural reserve park and his information was spot on. Also thanks Dave for going the extra mile in accommodation.
