This is a newly renovated space with great views, easy parking, direct access to the Nantes-Brest canal, good beds with nice linens, and open plan living with comfortable furniture. The gite is as it appears in the pictures.
We had a mixed experience during the six nights we were there. One of the owners met us as planned to hand over the keys and kindly gave us a tin of cookies. They own a restaurant in town so aren’t around much of the time (their house is attached to the gite). Once inside we discovered there was no toilet paper or towels, and the wifi wasn’t working (suddenly the cookies didn’t seem all that impressive). After pointing out the problems, the owner did drop off four mismatched towels of various ages and two rolls of toilet paper. Wifi was fixed two days into our stay.
Simple things could make this gite feel more welcoming, such as salt and pepper, a cafetiere, a kitchen dish sponge and soap, and new towels.
Two things to note:
The parking area is also the patio which is also a dog run for two small dogs, so watch your step!
The window curtains are light weight or non-existent on the expansive windows. During our stay it was impossible to get from the bedroom to the toilet or shower without walking past a large uncovered window, and it got very warm inside with the morning sun.
