“Wonderful relaxing break”
Reviewed 29 July 2013 for a stay in May 2013

I have been to Casal dei Fichi several times but normally during the Macerata Opera Ferstival in August (but also in November for the excellent Gourmet weekend). I really needed a relaxing break after a long and difficult winter in the UK and my week here was perfect and 'kickstarted' my summer. The weather was warm and mainly sunny and the pool in May was as I like it (refreshing!). The weather was certainly good enough for a day at the beach and for enjoyable sea bathing. Bob and Ian as ever were the perfect hosts. The level of comfort and standard remains very high and the gardens just seem to mature and improve every time I come here. I hope to return again very soon.

“English comfort and charm in the Italian countryside”
Reviewed 14 July 2013 for a stay in July 2013

This is a beautiful lovingly restored farm house in the centre of the Marche countryside. We saw the photos on the web site and were impressed but the real thing surpassed our expectations. The area is beautiful and peaceful and Bob and Ian do everything to make you feel totally looked after and very much at home.
The apartment has everything you need and the pool is just stunning - you can smell the lavender whilst you relax!
The little towns in the vincinity have wonderful historic centres and during the summer there are many festivals - if you are there at the beginning of July look out for the Mogliano 1744 festival - quite a spectacle.
Bob and Ian wil let you know what's on and when, will recommend places to eat. Also they host a weekly pizza party where you can make use of their pizza oven, and enjoy good company and good food.
Quite simply the best recipe for a great holiday!

“Wonderful location, atmosphere and hospitality.”
Reviewed 9 June 2013 for a stay in May 2013

Our fourth visit to Casel dei Fichi so unspoilt and so peaceful. There is absolutely no point in having a holiday property in rural Italy when you can go to Casel dei Fichi and find everything you need for a relaxing visit. The hosts are so attentive and nothing is too much trouble. They are so welcoming and the attention to detail is very special indeed.

“Wonderfully relaxing weekend”
Reviewed 7 June 2013 for a stay in April 2013

We were part of a small specially arranged gourmet weekend group and I cannot remember a more relaxing few days. Excellent accommodation in a stunning setting, some memorable meals and experiences and, perhaps best of all, very few decisions to make as Bob and Ian had arranged everything perfectly.

“Lazy days of summer”
Reviewed 22 May 2013 for a stay in June 2012

We stayed at Casa De Fichi June, 2012. I’m delighted to say we are staying there again in June 2013!! Can’t wait, Casa De Fichi is an absolute gem!.
Our accommodation, Apartment Ricci, was far larger than expected, and very well equipped. We loved the freshly laid eggs for breakfast, courtesy of Bob and Ian’s Hens! I know many other reviewer’s have said what a relaxing place Casel De Fichi is, that was our experience too, wonderfully relaxing, lazy days reading in shade of a tree, or near by the pool whilst sipping a glass of the local Rose!
Bob and Ian are great hosts, always helpful, friendly, and with good knowledge of the area they do everything possible to ensure you enjoy your stay.
Bob and Ian's pizza evening were such good fun. An opportunity to meet the other guests, we soon discovered we were the new kids on the block, all the other guests were second or third timers!!! If all this fails to inspire, then one look at Balzo & Hattie with their wonderful canine friendly personalities will surely charm you.
There are so many wonderful restaurants in the area, we tended to eat out at lunch times as part of a day out visiting towns or driving just to admire the stunning scenery. Home late afternoon for further relaxation with some home cooked food and local wine.
There are so many wonderful places to visit, many within a short distance of Casel Di Fichi. Mogliano, a small hilltop town just minutes away, with an excellent gelateria and several bars and restaurants. Also Ascoli Piceno, l’Abbadia di Fiastra and Tolentino with its two main and very impressive churches (San Nicolà and San Catervo). Urbino a unisco world heritage site is within driving distance albeit with an early start .
